Pressure builds for NBC's Kristen Welker to address Hunter Biden at debate:

It will be interesting to see just how blatantly biased this debate will be. It's already crossed the line by rehashing already debated issues like climate change and covid while ignoring foreign policy and economic issues but ignoring the growing Biden email scandal would be the icing on the liberal cake.


DePauw University professor and media critic Jeffrey McCall
agrees that Welker should ask about the Hunter Biden “elephant in the room” or she would open herself up to “criticism that she's covering” for the Democratic nominee.

“Not because of what Hunter might or might not have done, but because of what Joe Biden's role might have been, or at least his awareness of what Hunter might have been doing,” McCall told Fox News. “The mainstream media have steered away from this story, but the internet is churning it and it is surely on the minds of some voters. This matter would fit surely into the category of leadership that Welker has on her topic list.”

Trump supporters don't care about corruption, they only care when other people are corrupt. Lets stop pretending like you have a leg to stand on when talking about Biden's potential corruption. If it's true, it just makes him equal with Trump. I can't imagine there are many folks who are going to decide they can't vote for Biden because he's corrupt and then turn around and vote for a corrupt Donald Trump.

 

It's certainly the Tyrannosaurus Rex in the room since almost certainly Trump is going to address the issue when it's his turn to talk. I also halfway expect him to simply ignore the moderator's questions and go ahead and talk about his foreign policy triumphs as well . . . the ones that the leftist-allied media outlets are absolutely determined to ignore. It should be a very interesting 'debate'.

 

Actually Trump voters put up with about two and a half years of Trump being investigated due to a KNOWN to be Russian disinformation dossier supplied courtesy of corrupt Hillary Clinton and then being subjected to an absolutely bogus impeachment farce. The collective Political Left can endure an uncomfortable public question or two regarding the Big Guy's (Joe Biden) blatant corruption by way of the antics of a cocaine addicted son.

 

Of course they can, and should. But lets not pretend Trump didn't do the things he was being impeached for. Lets not pretend he hasn't been funneling taxpayer money to his businesses. Lets not pretend that he isn't using government power for partisan purposes.

Biden deserves to answer questions. But at the end of the day, even if he admits to it, it only puts him on the same level as Donald Trump. Trump supporters have shown that a corrupt candidate and then a corrupt president don't affect their vote at all. Why should anyone else care that Biden is corrupt? Do Trump supporters even have the right to expect it should?

Yep . . . as we lectured vast numbers of leftists smugly HOWLING that their politicians are not trying to end the Second Amendment; if you pass enough little step by step laws you effectively end the 2nd Amendment without EVER having to touch the Amendment itself. Thus it will remain apparently whole and untouched by the political Left while still it becomes effectively illegal for a citizen to own guns or, indeed, defend themselves.

 

Some democrats say the emails are fake and even dredge up the debunked Russian conspiracy theory. Others say corruption doesn’t matter and nobody cares Biden is the John Gotti of politicians. You guys need to pick a story and stick with it.

This is going to be fascinating to watch; that's for sure. The Left have got to generate the appearance of being fair and balanced while at the same time NOT let Trump raise any issues that they do not want addressed.

 

I’m betting they use new mic mute abilities to stop Trump from talking about anything they don’t want him to talk about. If they do he should walk off the stage.

 

There's the same evidence for that as there is for this. Witness testimony, emails, documents. You're just willing to believe this and unwilling to believe things when it comes to Trump. That's the real difference here.

He was impeached for improper conduct(which he absolutely did, even you know it) and then for obstructing justice by hindering Congress's investigation.

I don't mean pushing for specific policies that one party wants. I'm talking about using government resources at his disposal to affect his election. USPS, pushing Barr, Pompeo, and now Wray to help him win his election, all of these things that he's done just this year.

I'm not voting for Joe Biden and I've never told a single other person to vote for him either. I absolutely hope he wins, but he's a terrible candidate and I don't give my vote to terrible candidates.

The Biden campaign knows that if Welker doesn't bring it up, then Trump will bring it up. Biden is going to have to have an answer either way. He's had four entire days "under the lid" to formulate and memorize his statement. Whatever it is, it will be interesting to see if he diverts/avoids or says anything reasonably believable.
