    Income is only relevant to cost of living.

    A $200k house in those areas of the country would run you $5 million in the blue **** holes.

    I knew people making almost $100k a year in CA that couldn't afford to buy a basic 2 bedroom house.

    That's not what the job boards say and I read them religiously and I lived in Chicago, South Carolina, Tennessee, north Carolina, arizona, Wyoming, and Arizona.

    Since when are feels important..We cant. end of story. Iv even joined your side on the issue..I dont want to either. Regulation is gonna happen cause we have crazys that run around. But even a republican would push that through.

    MS

    Median single-family house value in 2020: $126,294

    So not including the other ridiculous cost of living calculations like high tax rates on everything from gas to food, your salary would need to be about 5 times higher in CA than in MS just to afford a house.

    Are you buying the house for investment purposes? Why does that matter? Try running your numbers as a single person who just lives with friends, trying to make as much as possible.

    Red state, or Blue state? You're educated and skilled. You left your family with friends or something.
