Many thousands of mentally incapacitated people are cared for by parents and children . Everything from retardation to Alzheimer's. Elections of late hinge on a very few votes so yeah many thousands of cases of potential fraud such as highlighted in the OP are important and could determine an election.

A free and fair vote is essential to our democracy. Every effort should be made to ensure it’s sanctity. Anything that enables fraudulent voting should not be allowed.

 

Or we could do away with unsolicited mail in ballots and let people who can’t get to polls for legitimate reasons ask for and receive an absentee ballot with all the safeguards built into that system intact.

No voting system on this planet is 100% secure. That's a very unrealistic expectation. This country has the most reliable and secure voting processes as are possible in today's world. There is no massive voter fraud. That has been proven to you on this forum more than once, but here it is again:

Before you claim political bias, you should know that The Heritage Foundation is an ultra conservative think tank.

Just as in the OP the opportunity for fraud leads to fraud. It’s virtually impossible to catch people committing this type of crime so of course it can’t be validated. Best thing to do is remove the opportunity for fraud at every level.
