Cops shoots perp, misses his leg and hits him 4 times in the upper body

    A policeman is wrestling with a suspect when the suspect reaches for a gun. That's when the suspect is ventilated 4 times by the policeman. In all honesty, and I've watched this short video about 10 times, I don't think taking Biden's advice and shooting the perp in the leg would have been a good idea, it may have gotten the cop killed.

    This is why Biden should keep his mouth shut when it comes to police business, he has no idea what the real world is like.

    What are the percentages again of the probability of hitting of a target about 6 -12" inches wide while in motion, versus hitting a body mass of 18-24 inches wide?

    Wonder WHO told BLM and nonexistent Antifa to stand down this close to the election? Otherwise they'd "peacefully protesting" this poor, honest citizens' treatment at the hands of the racist police.

    And the perp's family will say, he was a good boy, a very good boy, He played football and he graduated from high school and he planned to go to college. They'll probably get millions, the neighborhood will get torched and the cop's career is over.

    I didn't see any evidence that he reached for a gun. There's no other report, just a video.

    It's not a good example where you would shoot someone in the leg, true. But I can think of many situations where it would be possible to do so, Kenosha for instance.

    I'll maintain my point that there are times when you can shoot someone in leg. For instance if they're walking around to open their car door. Or if they are some distance away

    Have you ever fired a gun? The best pistols in the most qualified hands in a controlled situation like shooting at a firing range are only that accurate for a few feet after that it requires adjustments made by the shooter to put a bullet where they want it. LEO's in most situations have a moving target and milliseconds to act so the torso is the best choice unfortunately this usually doesn't turn out well for those on the receiving end. The trick is not to put yourself into that sort of situation, play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

    No, he didn't. He was speaking of suspects NOT carrying firearms.
    It is also obvious he's not talking about close combat as his "in the leg" references an upright target presenting some threat.

    Still, I disagree with the idea. It's not a "bad" idea, it is just not achievable without subjecting LEO to unacceptable levels of risk We've seen situations where the police have actually hit the suspect with less than 10% of the shots fired. That's not a shot at the police. You have an armed moving target shooting at you or others...too much adrenaline...It is an ideal. Since when are ideals bad?

    LoL.... "idiot hunters".... like every single one of your ancestors were. Humans were DESIGNED to be hunters. Humans were not designed to sit in front of computer 12 hours a day.     A man can start from a dead stop twenty feet away and cover that distance in a second and a half. It is problematic whether you can hit a moving man twenty feet away. You certainly would not be able to hit him in the leg. He can cover ten feet from a dead stop in less than a second. Most likely you will not be able to shoot him in the leg.

    It is pure fantasy to believe the police can shoot someone in the leg.
