    Has to be one of the saddest things I’ve read here. Covid is the single most important event of the Trump Presidency, and he’s too busy running for re-election to deal with it.

    I didn't know that's what he was hired for. I was under the apparently mistaken impression he was hired to put the country first and do his damned job. His predecessor had no problem doing both. Hell, he even managed to bend Donnie Dipshit over in front of the national press while simultaneously taking out the worst terrorist of the 21st century and getting ready to run for re-election...

    I think you are correct. He did campaign.

    I remember a group of people complaining he was not doing his job and was out campaigning.

    And then Hurricane Sandy hit, and he put people over party 1st, people over politics 1st, and he came out smelling like a rose after the Sandy response which IMO, propelled him to a 2nd term.
    He was in trouble prior to Sandy.

    The economy will stay tanked longer if the health crisis is not dealt with. Not to mention you do not want to set the country up for tens of thousands of Covid “long haulers” who will tax your health system for YEARS

    You want me to be brutally honest? The task force has been absolutely useless. What have they done since being formed? What more will they be able to do under Biden? Bark more orders? The solution to the coronavirus lies in the hands of scientists and biologists creating new treatments and drugs, not in Fauci and co.
