Stop listening to Trump. It is not Biden's fault that the US lacked a cohesive policy. Trump clearly doesn't understand that the POTUS is in charge. Candidates get no vote in the WH. Or, do you blame me, too, since I have as much presidential power as Biden does, right now? In that case, it's your fault.
C'mon. He knew well before we did, and told Woodward so. A leader can be honest, and exude calm at the same time. I know that Trump can't. The ability to extrapolate is helpful, here.
Easy to forget when he's been campaign running almost every day since 2016. Staying in power is his obsession
Yes, Trump knew and could've told us what he knew. But even if he did, this automatic assumption that we'd be at the best case scenario is wishful thinking. The task force was powerless then, powerless now and essentially is powerless because the key to all of this lies in the medical and scientific people.
So we will have a vaccine any day---very very soon---whether Trump attends Dr. Forked Tongue's Look At Me Look At Me Meetings or not.
Come on! What sort of white washing is that? Trump knew (as you said) and mislead the citizens of the USA. Remember....everyone should go to work even if they feel crook. Only 15 cases and soon there will be none. It will go away in Summer. It is a Democratic hoax. All the images sending the wrong message about masks, even yesterday at the White House. All the rallies with zero social distancing. Fauci says that if action had been taken, action not even now being taken, lives could (and can) have been saved. Stuffed if I know why you bother apoligising for Humpty over this. It is a no brainer.
I don't think the purpose of the Covid briefings are for Fauci and co. to bark orders. The president is a busy person and I would assume the purpose of the briefings is to have a single point where he can receive updates about the current state of the virus, development of vaccines, problems the covid response is encountering and opinions of his staff. If he does not attend these briefings we can only assume that he is getting this information independently from other sources or not at all.
I didn't apologize for him or anybody, I didn't make any excuses. I think people are capable of wearing masks on their own, people are capable of social distancing, etc. And yet, the bug still spreads.
They could and can do a LOT. Some of it is simple stuff like masks decent PPE TESTING and contact tracing. Local lockdowns instead of wide lockdowns. Quarrantine restrictions where appropriate in fact follow what Aust has done but learn from our mistakes
There was never a national conversation. Do you think rationing would have worked, aka WWII, if it happened today? Not a chance. We used to collaborate. If 9/11 happened today, it would be a hoax/fake news/team other's fault, it's only 3,600 people, it's a fraction of the population, someone just wants war, etc., etc., ad nauseum. We have the government we deserve.
He keeps saying you are turning the corner -easier to believe that the virus is going away if you do not get the bad news
It still exists in Queensland, but is not 'spreading' here. We took serious, decisive action. There was no down-playing the thing. This State has an election at the end of the month. A Labor Gov (your Democrats) will be re-elected because of the strong response they took on advice from our Fauci equivalent, Dr, Jeanette Young. That Government was likely heading for defeat but they way they dealt with the nasty, has tipped the scales. We have no new cases. Even given that that, we keep our foot firmly on the throat of this nasty. Do a Google, check and compare. Just a (for example) question. In your kitchen, do you have a bottle of hand sanitiser? Do you have masks in your house to use when out?
If you need further proof of the anti-masker, anti-science, COVID-denier mentality visit any of these subreddits: r/lockdownskepticism r/coronaviruscirclejerk r/nonewnormal These clowns are helping make the case of internet censorship as big tech looks for ways to balance free speech with public safety.
This would explain why he keeps claiming it is disappearing when case numbers are up 30%+ over the past 2 weeks. Trump & his followers genuinely don't care how many people die as long as they get what they want. Remember that poll a few months back when deaths were about 180,000 & Republican respondents said that was 'about right? If you asked that now they would say 220,000 is 'about right' and if it got to 10 million you would get the same answer. By contrast, when Obama was in charge they literally lost their minds over 10 Ebola deaths. North Korea has created the largest open air prison in the world to get this level of fanatical adherence. Trumpers do it willingly.
They had a pandemic response plan that they ignored The plan was first written by the bush govt honed by the Obama government and ignored by the Trump givernment
How about coordinating a national response. Testing,,, tracing Making sure there is available tests and PPE Have a coordinated message regarding opening Ya know...pandemic stuff
People are testing and tracing. One issue is, is that people are told to test under certain conditions(IE: Conditions in which they probably have the virus) which is stupid because the whole point of tracing is to be preventative. And the PPE situation is fixed for doctors/nurses, maybe not so much for the teachers and others but how many people are going to wear like a gown and stuff to their work place? (Also, none of this points out that China brought the bulk of PPE(despite claiming the virus was under control). Good ole Communist China. Trump was in a damned if you do, damned if you don't scenario. Could the federal government have brought the stockpiles for the States? Well given the governors crying about how they own the shutdowns(then they don't, then they do again.) it's likely they would've complained if the WH brought the PPE. The virus was certainly politicized, and you don't have to hide it because it worked: You are on the verge of defeating Orange Man Bad. However, once he is defeated, you can already tell(and I've said it on numerous occasions), I don't have any patience for the aftermath. Since orange man bad is the worst orange man bad ever, the next government must be impeccable. If it falls short of that(hah, if.) then I don't want to hear it and neither will most hear it.
Ask and ye shall receive... we FINALLY got the Trump National response under the following link... https://trumpcovidplan.com/ I think you'll find all your pressing COVID questions answered here. Better later than never, I suppose... https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/biden-campaign-beautifully-trolls-trump-203016080.html
LOL... no they don't.... just marginally competent and less corrupt... Really no other direction to go...
Was it ignored? We're testing and tracing, we've done the shutdowns. They even got that stupid defense authorization act they complained about(and ultimately did nothing.) Enough, they just want to get rid of orange man bad. And that is coming to its fruition, orange man bad is likely to be gone. But when there's "no improvement" from the Biden government, I don't want to hear any excuses. Nor am I expecting any, because the Trump government literally used the plan.
For me, they do. They've said orange man is the baddest orange man to ever exist on the planet earth. Given those claims, I'd want them to show me that their complaints and inability to work with the President for these four years can somehow be justified. This administration will be judged comparatively to the last one in that if it doesn't meet those pitiful standards you set above, then there was no reason to complain and the politicians must be held to account for wasting the years 2016-2020.
For the prosperity and the well being of our country, I want to be pleasantly surprised by these next four years for America.
