Enthusiasm is paramount. Biden has none.

Apparently, Obama couldn't even get 500 cars to attend a rally...which was so well-organized that there was no real advance notice given. This was because they feared the opposition would show up and disrupt the gathering.

Please don't interrupt the Lord of the TelePrompter while he's talking about himself.

Point taken. I was in Georgia for about a year during his governorship, where most GA natives I spoke to hated him with a cordial passion I hadn't seen after that until Gretchen Whitmer came along in Michigan.

So, in '76, I shook Jiminy Peanut's hand at a Detroit rally and a week later voted for Gerald I'll-Pardon-ANY-body Ford. I've met plenty of pols over the last 50 years but Carter was something else. Up close there was nobody in there, someone burned-out in the final days of the run, a haunting shell so easily gamed by so many people.

Later on, I came to suspect all liberals are like that. Empty and gamed.

If they liked him they'd have showed up, don'tcha think? Nobody forced them out of their carts or into any unsafe situation. So why didn't they show up? Could it possibly beeeeeeee that the local Biden crew never put out advance warning?

Tell me. How can anyone win the White House and never have people know where to show up in support?

Yeah a massive crowd, two people who didn't know who he was and a homeless guy that the secret service people grabbed when he asked Obama for a cigarette.

Carter has been mislabeled. There is a new book out about him that has chronicled his Presidency

Carter was a thoroughly decent, well-intentioned idealist who tackled tough issues like energy, wrestled with economic troubles and advanced human rights, all with drive and determination.

He made peace between Israel and Egypt, ratified the Panama Canal treaty and started the military buildup in response to Soviet aggression that Reagan would accelerate.

Despite punishing inflation and unemployment, economic growth under Carter was nearly as high as it was under Reagan, and he added less to the national debt as a percentage than either Reagan or the two Bushes.

~ Carter is indeed a decent person. He failed as president by ignorance and poor judgement. Obsama knew exactly what he was doing and sold out America on purpose.
Remember Nixon opened the doors for China , Jimmy Carter gave away the store. Bill Clinton extended China's credit by getting them into the WTO.

As evidenced by the 6 people standing at the card table as he talked to them from 8 feet away with a bullhorn.

That is true and not good. But what I meant by subversive is undermining the country and the government which Carter wasn't, as opposed to openly and proudly subversive Obama for instance.

I agree and is pretty much what I said. He was just not very effective and often completely ineffective.

Agreed, and some of the things Carter did very well as president. The agreement between Egypt and Israel that Carter was primarily responsible for is probably the greatest achievement in the middle east accomplished.

Inflation and unemployment are far more indicative of economic achievement, or lack thereof, than GDP numbers.
