The House packages (both of them) have that $1200 AND a return of the $600 extra unemployment money as well as another round of PPE loans for small businesses.

It also loosens restrictions om loan paybacks

But gangrene hands McConnell refuses to even vote on it

 

And of course the GOP bill includes a provision that protects employers who force their workers back to work without adequate protections from the virus from being held liable (meat packing plants etc.)

 

1. It's an emergency COVID bill, it has no pork, it solves immediate urgent need of the American people, we agree that it will help. It does not interfere with on-going negotiations
Can you please explain, why has Democrats killed it?

2. The House bill has $1,2000 and $600 unemployment (currently at $400 in addition to state's unemployment benefits).
The remaining $2 - $2.5 trillion is pork, bailout of failed leftist states and idiotic leftist pet projects that they can't get through the Congress
Why should the american people pay an enormous ($2+ trillion) amount of money again? Why do the Dems keep the American people suffering from COVID hostage?

There was no pork in the Dem House Bill

There was money for average people though...and loans for businesses that are hurting

And money for TESTING and TRACING..and for hospitals

 

The democrats are extortionists. If they don't get a pound of political flesh to feed their vanity, they aren't going to support it. The GOP was far from ideal, but now unemployed workers who most need help are not going to get the extra unemployment because the bill doesn't give Nancy something to cackle about.

Apparently, you haven't been paying attention to how McTreason operates. The bill he supported was woefully inadequate for the size of the need. Passage of it would have ensured no further relief bills would reach the floor of the Senate for a vote. The "no pork" claim was just a talking point for PR purposes as if Mitch has never been a hog at the trough.
