Well, it appears that we'll just have to agree to disagree on this thread.

Nothing you’ve said has been proven lol certainly not that democrats have engaged in ANY ethical behavior.

When the last vacancy came up on the SCOTUS Senate Republicans kept it open for over a year, specifically because an election was coming up and "the American people deserved to be heard" in choosing the new judge. In this case, however, RBG's body was scarcely cold before the Republicans were having these hearings. Is that ethical?

So Republicans refusing to vote up or down on a Suprem Court nominee, even though that is the Senates job, is just fine for Republicans who lied CONSTANTLY that Republicans shouldn't nominee until almost a year passed, but NOW nominating a Supreme Court Justice a DAY before the election is AOK for Republicans is thus the perfect reason to pack the court.

And even Republicans will be powerless to let avoid ensuring these lies by the Republicans will be deniable.

The Republicans will have burned their bridges for many years to come.

You show me any Democrat who lives in mortal terror of his extremists mounting a "primary challenge"against him. The Republicans have their extremists being led by the President himself, so this tiny minority has hijacked and now runs the entire party through abuse of the Primary process.

False. They did so because they had control of the senate on an election year. And like 85% of all other election year examples where the other party controlled the senate, the nomination doesn’t pass. Now they control the senate. Don’t like that? Win the senate.

Furthermore if your Harry Reid didn’t change the rules for confirming judges, this wouldn’t have happened. But he did. And as McConnell told all of you at the time , “you’ll regret this sooner rather than later.”

But you folks thought you would never lose the senate again, like you think if you pack the courts. But here you are, regretting your decisions.

If you don’t like it, win the senate. Then hope you win the presidency too and a scotus justice dies.

If Harry Reid and the dems hadn’t changed the rules years earlier, we wouldn’t be here.

"Steal the Judicial branch" ? How can they do that, the right just did that

Republicans have majority control of the Senate, and represent 13 MILLION less people

Republicans have the Executive Branch with 4 MILLON less votes

They used those positions to pack the federal courts to have a majority on the judicial branch'

And did all of that while claiming democrats were destroying democracy

Lets have a conversation about democracy

Well. Even if so-called right-wing extremists exist, it is not them who riot, loot and burn Blue cities - it is your rank and file Democrats. Fact.

Yes. McConnell is following the Constitution in both cases. He rolled the dice actually by not bringing Garland up for a vote and confirming him knowing that at that point Trump's chances of winning were estimated to be very poor. And if Hillary had won and won the Senate as well Garland's nomination would have been pulled and a far more radical nominee would have been confirmed.

And as usual no examples of "cheating" are presented.

Four years of the Trump presidency got us exactly what conservatives wanted: 3 new conservative Supreme Court Justices!

    Priceless!

Seems I recall there was once another group here who were really good at having the law work for them to the detriment of everyone else.

We eventually had to kick them out and send them crying back to their mama. History may be about to repeat itself, peacefully this time.

Lie. Everyone knows it was the Koch's goon squads who have burned our cities. The FBI is on to them and once the Goon in Chief is gone the Billionaire's Cabal is going to face a reckoning

Because they were in majority and could do that, my friend. Legally, I must add.

So that's the only bar? Will note if the Dems win the Senate and do whatever they want then. Because, as you say, majority and all that.

I guess Reid's folly didn't really teach you anything about how today's decisions impact the future.
