BOO! HOO! Democrats lost and now they're crying in their Soup, what a bunch of LOSERS. Can't win the game the way the rules are set, so change the rules and Pack the Court is their motto. Amy Coney Barrett is a SUPREMELY qualified Justice and she's an incredible addition to the Supreme Court, only problem is she was nominated by Trump and it's another Feather in his legacy.

Changing the rules was when the gop refused to confirm a justice months before the election and then changing filibuster rules on Supreme Court nominees.
There’s no rule about court size.

    Elephants never forget?

How did Republicans become such little men. This hair on fire hypocrisy about ‘court packing’ and flat out fear
that Democrats might follow in their footsteps is unsightly.

Awesome! when Trump is re-elected and the GOP retains the Senate, maybe he can add some more supreme court justices in the next 4 years and bury the Democrats and their crazy policies for the next 100 Years.

I totally enjoy when some Democrats play obtuse and try to hide the fact they started the games people play now in politics from the KKK to gerrymandering and to the supreme court.

Hold on lets clear a few things up here. First off the "McConnell rule" is actually the "Biden rule" and technically neither are rules; they aren't actual parliamentary procedures. The inception of not confirming a SCOTUS appointee nominated close to an election originated with then-Senator Joe Biden in 1992. Second, we can thank Democratic Senator Harry Reid for using the "nuclear option" to halt filibusters for court appointees.

So how are we supposed to look at this? If Joe Biden is even half of the categorically spectacular statesmen that we're told he is then why shouldn't we follow his leadership in all things including stalling nominees during election years? Furthermore if the left was justified in being able to ram through all of the judges that Sen Reid put into place sans filibuster then why exactly can the right not do the same?

    Tough, tough questions indeed.

Makes little difference tbh. They will pack it when they get the opportunity. And eventually Republicans will have the oppportunity to fire back and pack it twice as hard...which they will.

And just like that the supreme court is meaningless.

Eventually this will get bloody. I hope it doesn't, but there is only one logical conclusion to this blatant increase in division and hatred and rule changing created by many on the left. Stay safe everyone, from BLM, to antifa, to a mob of green haired losers, its becoming a dangerous world to live in .

Biden never stopped a nominee from getting a vote and Reid changed nothing about scotus nominees. What happened to the Biden “rule” this year?

You mean like Harry Reid introducing the "nuclear option" and good ole Mitch telling him don't do it!

And here we are. Despicable Democrats wanting things only their way!

Mabye, who knows. Weak govtt would be the best option. Because then you wouldnt have to worry so much about who wins the presidency for instance. Because they can't influence your lives all that much.

But then again no matter what we replace it with, if we were to replace it, would encounter the same issues, scrutiny, division, etc that we have now.

Seems to me that desire is coming from being sore at losing.

At some point, you just have to accept you lost and try again next time. Or, start a war. And for obvious reasons, the latter isn't ideal.

Graham even warned Reid to not use the nuclear option because pay back will be a bitch.

I agree with you except for your weird insistence that all of this is the left's fault and seem to hold the Reps as perfect angels. It's weird.

That said, you are right, as the cycle will continue until it collapses under its own weight.

Losing a rigged game. We won in 2012, still didn’t get our nominee on the court. Why play by rules that are designed to punish the part of the Suburbs and cities?

I dont pretend Republicans are perfect angels. I have my own beefs with them.

However, there is no comparison to be made between the 2 when it comes to hate and division.

Dems own that by and large. I've never in my life would have imagined that we would go so far down the hate hole that by simply being white and having to endure a racist is seen as "your turn". Or that we would have half our society embrace a terrorist group like BLM, despite calling for the death of officers, killing officers, causing billions in damage, and putting out blatantly racist rhetoric. I would never have imagined that by disagreeing with the BLM terrorist organization, I would be called a Nazi, and simultaneously hear the left push narratives around punching nazis. I would have never imagined that despite police overwhelmingly doing a good job, where police brutality is a statistical anomaly, that I would be called racist/nazi/etc just for supporting them and standing against the fake narratives. I would have never imagined we would be so stupid as to defund them, when if its improvement you want that requires MORE money. I would have never imagined that by supporting facts and evidence over just "believing all women" I would be called a supporter of rape. The nonsense knows no bounds and its something that, while I am confident will eventually go away as I think its largely a product of such emotional times, nonetheless its one of the most destructive forces I have ever seen.

It wasn't rigged at all, Republicans had the votes and power by being elected. They choose to use that power, thats their choice to make.

Nothing about that is unfair or rigged. Dems simply lost fair and square under the rules we all play by.

Change them, which I am sure they will at the earliest opportunity, then there will essentially be no rules, because the moment republicans get power they will change them, likely twice as much.

Again, like the electoral college discussions, learn the rules first.

Senate rules were strictly followed for both Garland and Barrett. Filibuster rules were changed by Harry Reid who is a Democrat.
There is no rule on court size, up the number and we will do it to you as well. Soon you will pay the salaries of 100 justices.

We can’t keep having a system where the party with less votes routinely takes the Whitehouse. It’s an embarrassment.

I grew up in CA as a native there and then the CA Democrats would be far more polite.
It was in mid 1964 I was in the Army and transferred to Ft Benning GA where I witnessed the worst fight I ever saw and it was among Democrats.

I was happy then it was not like that in CA.

Now it has spread from the South to all over America. A sad time for sure.
