As much as it's obvious Dems are justified in trying to bring the court closer in line with the desires of the majority, I really don't care if Repubs agree. I don't care if the strenuously object. I don't even care if a case can be made the Dems are wrong. I just don't.

The lesson of the last decade or so is Repubs have used their power ruthlessly and in the end have gotten their way on a number of accounts. While history made record the ways they achieved their ends were by deceit, a break with protocols, or dogged persistence, the bottom line is we now have a SC with views far outside the mainstream. If you think McConnell cares his reputation has been tarnished so he could realize his goal...........think again.
What matters is how the conservative majority will impact people's lives. A broad spectrum of individual rights will be denied including the right of choice and voting rights, corporate power will be served, gays will be discriminated against. If Dems have to hurt the feelings of conservative snowflakes in stopping that agenda...........I'm cool with it.

How many millions of dollars have the Democrats spent on various high-cost --- TOTALLY ineffective --- efforts to unseat a sitting President? Baldfaced lies like what? The media votes 90% Democrat and has launched the most vicious print and broadcast campaign in our history, all based on lies.

If he's that crooked, why couldn't Mueller and Schiff and all the other grandstanding genetic halfwits find it?

Gosh... John McCain died. Or did you forget that....

In 2018, three democrats voted for Amy. Three Democrats crossed party lines to vote for Barrett: Indiana Sen. Joe Donnelly, Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine and West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin. Donnelly is running for re-election in Barrett's home state.

    Gosh, the irony...

Then you aren't trying very hard. Tell us why you support reconciliation counsels again??

Couldn't help noticing you changed the subject. We both know why.

Are you suggesting that Congress should weigh the financial cost when a prez breaks the law and abuses his authority against letting those violations go unchallenged?

My wife doesn't follow politics real closely. Every now and again she'll ask what these claims of a "coup" against Trump are about and I'll do my best to describe the circumstances.

The conversation usually ends with her saying..."well that doesn't make any sense!"

At that point I have no response other than "no kidding"

I didn't actually . I pointed it out because your insinuation from your post wasn't at the time, it was a modern reference. I understand english is a difficult language, what with all the tenses, and stuff, but you purport yourself as being a native speaker. I was just giving you the benefit of the doubt....

And yet it is. Did you know that Kamala, and by default Joe are running on reconciliation councils? And you don't even know what those are. How interesting.

You accused me of supporting something "again" that I have no knowledge of.

Care to make yourself clear or is that something you don't do.

What is it they say about ignorance of the law? And you still support biden, right? I mean, you've likely googled what reconciliation councils/ commissions are, and you haven't changed your mind. Third time is a charm maybe?

Your lame attempt to change the subject clearly shows that you can't rebut my point. I'll take it!
