What does the family of politicians have to do with big government? You must be confusing the Biden’s with the trump’s — who are actually employed or working in governmental departments. With all the current instances of nepotism you are still stuck on a private civilian. Strange

Everything. Is it a coincidence, a talent-less Hunter has respectfully called his VP father a "Big man, a Chairman? And why not, without his VP father he would not make any money.

What does nepotism have to do with big government? They seem to be two unrelated things to me as well. Nepotism occurs everywhere, not just in government. Big government is the product of officials who support tax and spend policy, and the people who vote them in. Whether any of their staff are family members is irrelevant to big government agenda.

So he name dropped? A private citizen tried to use his last name to make money... where have I heard this story before?

And no, that is not an example of big government. Or even nepotism

I feel like the right has invented their own dictionary where the definition of words change to suit whatever argument they are attempting to make.

Splitting hair, protecting a feeble sleepy tired old man who just might become our next president is unbecoming.

What you call name-dropping, I call selling access and profiting from the Government position.

    Protecting him from what? How?

Nobody is protecting anybody here. We just recognize a hoax when we see one. Cd8ed is right. Trump has twisted the meaning of hoax to the extent his supporters don't remember what it is. This is blatant. It's in your face fake.

And what you call access and profiting I call legally conducted business.

It's a hoax. It's not even a different one. It's the same hoax Trump got his dumb ass impeached over. Nobody believes it.

No, selling access is selling access
    Name dropping is name dropping.

If I say I know the mayor (name drop) and am given a position while the mayor is unaware of this exchange and does nothing to aid me then that is not an example of big government. If the mayor aids me in getting the position (like trump did with his children and their spouses) that is big government. The truth is right in front of your face but I guess buzz words and talking points have been successfully indoctrinated.

so you're saying Trump's hotels are not profiting from his position?

foreign officials who pay big $$$$$ at his hotels can expect friendly policies from Trump.

thats why Trump is being soo nice to the Saudis.

The only way Trump may redeem himself in your and your enlightened tolerant progressive liberal Democrats’ eyes is to resign Presidency immediately, bend over and grab the ankles, and assign all of his fortune to DNC.

And even then, not by much :D

To understand the mentality of Democratic snowflakes, one needs to become a Democratic snowflake. Sorry, no way I’ll do it even for the scientific purposes.
