The one thing Trump never understood about this Pandemic.

There are many things Trump doesn't understand. He doesn't understand how science works. That you don't just wish things to happen. Much less order them to happen. That there will not be a vaccine until there is a vaccine. That promoting anecdotes and "miracle drugs" don't produce a "cure". He never understood that masks were to protect others, and not yourself. Not even to protect specifically HIM (screw everybody else). That it's scientists the ones who tell him the facts about a pandemic, and not a radiologist-quack who just tells him what he wants to hear...

So many things Trump never understood. And he never understood that thousands paid with their lives for Trump's ignorance.

But the most important thing that Trump never understood, and will never understand, is that the people he hurt with his incompetence and ignorance, are real people. Not just the ones who died, but the people who care about them.

People like these.

To Trump loyalists, "Trump beat the virus" doesn't mean what any rational human being would interpret. Which is that he has done his job to protect as many American lives as possible. It means that he got treatment that no other American (except those he hand picks) could ever afford. And that the only person in the world that matters (Trump) is OK.

I have known people who are so self-centered that they could care less about anybody else. But it's strange that people can be that centered around a politician who is a sociopath. There is a name for that. Unfortunately its use is not allowed on this forum.

One thing you don't understand....the mental anguish, fear, and suicide from the shutdowns the left requires. Divorces, domestic violence is up. The education of our children is down. Trump, through his actions has saved the economy. Biden could have done no better. He has no better plan. Shut it down forever. When you reopen.....the China Virus will be there.

Yes, of course. And even now, some posters here continue to post what they think is proof that HCQ works... LOL. They always quote methodologically flawed observational studies or merely the opinion of some quack doctor in search of self-promotion: "I treated 100 patients with HCQ and they all recovered, except one. So, HCQ is great and it works." Which of course proves nothing, in a disease that only kills about 0.65% of the infected people, and without a control group. But posters still continue to promote it, even after their cult leader quietly didn't take it, and was treated with something else (vitamin C, Zinc, melatonin, famotidine, remdesivir, and a cocktail of two monoclonal antibodies).

 

One thing he'll understand, though, once he loses the election: the states with the worst third wave (like Wisconsin) are seeing a drop in his numbers and a rise for Biden's numbers.
He'll whine that he lost only because of this virus, and will blame China. Well, yes, he did lose because of this virus, but not because of China, and rather, because of his inept management of the crisis.

 

You know a lot about medicine. I remember Trump stated he was taking hydroxychloroquine as a prophylaxis against COVID and then he stopped after finishing his treatment regimen. Do prophylaxis medications work this way? I've heard of PrEP Truvada, but that's taken once daily. So I found it odd that he would just stop taking a medication that he was using as a prophylactic.

 

OP: I think Trump understand better than you might think but wants to link virus prevention with Democrats/Chinese. if you wear a mask, etc. you are submitting to authoritarian/socialist Democrat rule, etc... the worst the virus gets, the more those Communists/Democrats are out of hand. If he takes any positive steps himself towards virus mitigation years submitting to and in cahoots with Democrats/Chinese/Authoritarian rule/Socialism

Put simply: Virus=Democrats/Chinese for the lowest IQers amongst his support base. if the virus is sweeping through your town, it is a prelude to Socialist takeover.

So it's understandable that he's got to come up with some mock cures if you do get the disease. Mind you he didn't use that cure himself

 

First, you need to land a job as important as President Trump's, and then you can show us how strong you are!

 

No wonder I know a lot about medicine, after 40 professional years... First, I doubt that Trump was really taking it. He wanted to save face on his propping up HCQ contrary to all medico/scientific evidence. Anyway, if he was taking it as prophylactic, it seems like he was no longer on it once he caught the virus. There's been a randomized controlled trial for HCQ as prophylactic: no efficacy whatsoever. It simply doesn't work in any way or any phase of the disease. Period, full stop. This has been abundantly demonstrated by proper randomized controlled studies with thousands of patients, like the Oxford University study with 11,000 patients.
I was unaware of Truvada a prophylactic for Covid-19. One of the best protocols called MATH+ recommend general antiviral medications as prophylactic, including vitamin C, zinc, quercetin, famotidine, melatonin, and vitamin D. Some studies (just a few and small) introduced ivermectin as a prophylactic. If you ever try it though, it's a prescription medication that requires physician supervision and you can only take the human-intended form available in pharmacies; never take the animal preparations that exist without a prescription (for horses, dogs, sheep, etc) as these would be very dangerous to you.

I think Trump would have lost regardless of this virus. We're just not paying attention to the many crimes he's involved in and still committing because our attention is on the virus.

Now I want to hear you explain why you favor a President whose incompetence has caused the death of tens of thousands of Americans. Or do you agree with the Republican Party precept that the right to life begins at conception and ends at birth?
