I've never understood why Kavanaugh got so upset. The woman was obviously mistaken and he should have just said so and asked her to present whatever evidence she had in a calm and rational manner. I saw a man who was clearly too emotional to make considered judgments and I never saw anything that would support him being a judge even at the level he had obtained let alone a Supreme Court Justice.

Nonsense, many rights are routinely regulated, and for no more weighty reasons than simple public convenience. Your right to make a political speech is subject to considerable trouble and often expense in getting a permit and nobody objects. Your having a right means that you cannot be denied the permit, not that you have carte blanche to speak wherever and whenever regardless.

Even more so with guns which are unsafe by design and in function and where safety is thusly ALWAYS the main and major concern. Public safety is a paramount consideration, indeed the main reason we have ANY rights in the first place, and safety must be always the first concern whenever we deal with guns of any sort.
