Do YOU Expect to Be Better Off In 4 Years? And why.
    Paraphrase Reagan

Please consider how well off you were before Covid
when replying. And what you expect of Biden in 4 years.

I think we're going to be fine. The Republicans will have to screw up big time to lose their Senate majority, so anything the Dems try to do will be tempered by the Republican Senate. If the Dems try to push more progressive stuff, they're going to lose the House in 2022. Some of the Dems know that. Others, not so much.

Gasp! These guys we elect to work together might actually have to work together. Hopefully they do.

    @Junkieturtle

    Yet Trump managed regardless of
near 4 years of Pelosi and her
    House of Representative.

It is about leadership aptitude of a President.
Legislators don't seem to have it as often.
That's why I prefer a Governor for President over
    a member of Congress.

The above is a non partisan statement.

No, I don't think I'll be better off in 4 years. Do you want the truth?

I'm very poor, living in a house owned by my Dad. I have almost reached rock bottom, but that will happen when my aging, in-debt, Dad passes on. I hope I can find cheap government housing when that day comes.

Another problem is that I've tried to study technology to get a good career, but the tech industry keeps changing faster than I can keep up. And now it's going quantum??? Yeah, that's not going to happen.

Also, I was found to be mentally disabled so Social Security has been sending me a monthly check of $300 against my work record. And that has helped me pay for food and bills. But, I had been denied disability before so I wasn't expecting to be found disabled. So, I did a little work and I had to notify Social Security about it when I got my approval letter. Now, Social Security is going to do a disability review in January 2021. They have a Ticket to Work program that lets me work for 9 months, and January 2021 is when my participation in that program and still get benefits expires.

But, I'm not stressed out or anything.

Does anyone have ideas on policy positions that would help my case? Or is it just suck it up and make your own way???

No, and mostly because the Dem Party is never any good when it comes to handling a sick national economy. They confuse radical political ideology with logic and cold, hard practicality. The end result is always some variation of the progressive hell hole that is becoming Southern California.

    Do You get "Food Stamps"?

    Sympathy

The only good investment I ever made was life term
private disability insurance. And qualified some years later.
Even their doctor agreed about my tremor.

Now I get retirement Social Security too.
They denied my disability application several times.

And I live in the family home. Parents deceased.
    So I was lucky.

:oldman:Life Term Private Disability Insurance recommended.
Not 5 years. Not until age 65. Life Term

Bush, Jr. was not so good at it either. Si?
Remember the job creators who received stimulus funds and sat on it?

Similarly the Clinton Recovery and Obama's too
never seemed to trickle down to working people
while they bathe in the glory of improving (inflated) Wall St. statistics.

All 3 plus Hillary & Biden - RepubloCrats
Same economic, wars and foreign policies.

G.H. and G.W. were globalists first and foremost. They didn't really give a damn about this nation and nor its ideals. I think that the last presidents who actually tried to create an economy that would work for all of the people were Reagan and Clinton -- because he actually would compromise -- and then there was also Trump.

    Disagree about Clinton

Reagan and Trump seemed to do it by

    force of will. Leadership aptitude.
Their economies enriched working people too.

And Trump put an end to :flagcanada: trade abuses.
Like selling gov't subsidized dairy on the :flagus: market
Obama ignored. I believe Bush, Jr. ignored too..

Well you are better off with the far left progressives if you just want government handouts.

Along with Wall St. , Banks and big money
The lowest person for consideration in the Democratic Party
is Working People. Especially those who have to budget their pay checks.

ObamaCare was a cruel joke on them.
The court challenge should be about being required to pay profits to insurance companies.

Yes, but not because of Biden. I generally plan on being better off in 4 years than I was 4 years before, baring emergencies of some kind, or deliberate lifestyle changes.

    Blame Trump
    for COVID too!

That economic crash, or a different one?

I am a pensioner and liked the Pre COVID Trump economy.
I didn't feel prices going up any more than minimally, usual.
I noticed over years the "new" regular price for my coffee occurs in
late January & February. Even before Trump.

The COVID economy is why in message #1
it is requested Trump be evaluated for his
Pre COVID economy and Biden - 3 years to fix it.
Not 3 months. 1 year, etc.

I blame the handling of covid on Trump, his lying to the public, his playing it down, then his issuing a national emergency and releasing Presidential guidelines to shut the economy down.... then playing it down, lying to the people again.. and again... and again

Before the election, just in case, I moved my money out of REITS and out of Energy stocks, I figured if the democrats can cheat (as I expected) and Biden gets installed then he will lock down again and commercial real estate will collapse as well as he will destroy the energy market because he is simply a fool.

I was much better the moment Biden took the lead in PA; better than I've been in four years.

I didn't want to spend my remaining years fighting a civil war but I was ready.

OP: Yes. I've amassed enough wealth to ride the storm.

I really feel for the younger generation at the moment, though. It's a softer more connected world but the material realities are harsher. Good luck buying property!

My home is almost payed for and my job is pretty recession proof. It's also covid proof. I think I'll be just fine if I don't have to carry my kids on into their adulthood.
