I meant the Florida coast. Down the east and up the West.

Working at work should be the preferred option from now on.

Working at work won't get my new floors installed as quickly.

    Ah. LONG drive.

I've done it; just never all in the same trip. My favorite part is the *ahem* "mountains" north of Tampa. ** Much of the country would refer to them as small hills. LOL.

    Roads?
You don't need no stinkin "roads" to drive "East/West" in Florida. :)

Unless you are in Key West and get on Roosevelt Blvd it does take some twists and turns.

Hiya Daise! Nope, not yet have to file a Writ of Possession before we can get rid of their stuff. Went to the courthouse to do it yesterday... was a day too soon. Going back today. Went by dads to give him his new phone and ck all his locks to make sure the house was secure. Walked out the front door, he followed me... shut the door and locked us out. Luckily a neighbor had a handyman at his house so he came and broke a chain lock on the kitchen door.

Gonna try it again today. Clean out day is now Fri. ;)

Sounds like something I would do. I'm good at self-inflicted wounds.

Survived my first post-apocalypse trip to the DMV. Been waiting almost 2 months for my appointed 10 minutes. Scariest thing was that she said, "Oh these appointment only schedules will be a permanent thing now."

Mine expired in September early. I started trying to get an appointment in July. Finally got an appointment in late September.

Me to DMV: I know I'm late but I couldn't get an appointment.

DMV: No issue; everyone is in the same spot

Me: Why are you charging me a late fee?

DMV: Because you didn't renew in time.

    Government logic.

It was chaos. I had to stand around until it was my turn to get in line to get a temperature check.
Then, when I got through that line, I waited in another line to check in.
Once I got through that line, I got in another line to have my turn.
Once I had my turn, I got into another line to get my picture taken.
Once I did that, I waited in line to get my license.
Once I did that, I waited in line to pay.

I finally got to leave two hours after my original appointment time.

We close the the current one on the 24th, but the stay on foreclosures and evictions has limited the availability of potential flips. We'll coast on the flips for the winter, and see what spring brings.

I still do my thing at my employers, but it seems they have finally taken my Retirement Notice (5 year notice, provided 3 years ag) seriously. The negotiations have started... realignment of responsibilities? Possibly not a full retirement, how about cutting back to 40 hours a week? (currently 55-60) and on.... 20 years builds a lot of trust.

I am definitely thankful for the way things work in a small town. Two people in line on a Saturday morning outside the County Clerk's office (with masks), one person at a time to the counter, then back to the 5'x5' room where the photo machine is, ask about the family of the photographer, take the picture that pops out, then to a second room where you turn in your paperwork and photo, go outside for 10 minutes, Clerk sticks her head out and hands you your new license.

Don't have to mess with that for another 5 years.

Nice. My sister lives in the same small town. She loves it. I love it there, for a few days. :)

I'm good for 16 years. I can renew online in eight, and then back in after another eight.

    I'll be 70!
