After everything that has happened, 71 million people still voted for this dictator in the making. There is no place for healing. The wolves are still circling and trump isn't going away. By not denouncing trump's efforts to undermine the results of the election, the Republicans have now waged war on the US in the most profound sense. This not a political battle. This is a war. Don't doubt it for a moment. These are the same people who cheer for a man who openly declared his love for Kim Jong Un. That makes things pretty clear cut. Trump loves one of the most evil men on the planet and they love trump.
We can't afford to stop being shocked by their behavior. It is hard to remember how absurd and obscene the entire trump movement has been. It is in our nature to adjust and change perspective. But this is how dictators are made. This is how democracy dies. This is how evil spreads like a virus. We have fought wars to defeat people like trump and the people who support him.
This is not a war - this is a sad state of America, where about half of Americans prefer to believe to a political leader instead to believe in an evidence/facts/common sense. Why it happened? Recently I read a book of Neil Postman - "Amusing ourselves to death", should we blame TV?
