    Great stuff, AU.

Trump really missed out by not having his own Leni Riefenstahl.

"Don't like" is fine. Democrats hate Trump with an irrational fervour that is far out of proportion to policy disagreements.

When Trump is out of office they don’t need to distance themselves. However, Trump is going to live in the head of every liberal for the rest of their life.

The Republicans chances in the future depend on how far to the left the Democrats go during a Biden presidency.

Americans or moderns in general aren't much swayed by that kind of thing, most of us have been to Rock Concerts. (Trump supporters maybe not, I dunno)

I don't know why you can't see it. They don't like what Trump is saying and doing.

I dislike the guy because he's a false prophet for average folks. He isn't fixing this...

    945232FE-5949-4588-A90C-699154D33DEB.jpeg

He gave 85% of the tax cut to people making $400,000 a year.

He's trying to scuttle Obamacare without offering a replacement.

I agree with the latter but not the former, and they will probably not go far enough, Europe proves that Leftism works.

"Another Trump" will be the Republican wet dream until 2100, I hope. You don't get very far in politics by attacking everything and everyone while generally being as toxic as cyanide to be around but Republicans are going to see being a nasty bastard/petulant child as the key to success forever.

You find depriving people of a safe way to vote is humorous?

We hate him because he's a brass-plated bastard and not in a good way. People like curmudgeons because underneath they are actually decent human beings. Scratch Trump and you find pure unalloyed vindictiveness that goes all the way down. And I don't think it's really hatred either because I often felt sorry for someone so obviously warped and broken by a truly perverted upbringing. Trump SCARED me, I saw another Putin at best in him, and probably worse.

You must watch a lot of Fox News.
And if Republicans stop spinning off to the right.

No amount of nastiness will bring back the Orange Oaf. The country is moving on.

I’m convinced that most people are simply partisan hacks. They don’t look at results. Only party affiliation and optics.

If you found my viewing Trump as much like Putin to be irrational then you really need to examine both of these men much more carefully

Because that's really all there is. Pols very seldom make that much difference, and mostly we are very fortunate that they don't. Politicians who have really changed their countries are like Stalin, Hitler, and Pol Pot. Elected pols can alter the general "feel" of a country but you have to really completely usurp any kind of democracy if you want to have a fundamental transformation.

I totally agree with this. Dems got kind of smashed in this election. The seem to take too many things for granted. Their base is more like a sandcastle at the sea change. Going to take some serious honest work to shore that up and figure out what they're doing. I'm not hopeful they'll get it sorted out any time soon.

What makes you say that? Why do you believe that? The conspiracy you're charging here would be the most massively complex bipartisan, multi-technological, multi-national human resource crime ever foisted in the modern world. It's either that, or Trump lost. He just lost. It happens every cycle. He was divisive, callous, untrustworthy, and impulsive. He had no campaign discipline and the virus undid him. He lost. What is so hard to believe?

Now he's attempting to replace state electors with people loyal to him who will ignore the entire state vote counts and install him. He's doing this right in front of your face and you're claiming the democrats are stealing an election? Drop the scales from your eyes.

I voted in person and it was as safe and and had no problems reporting results that night with no irregularities.

That you would want a repeat of this election is not humorous but quite scary.

One thing I find extremely odd is that most people say we need elected officials who go against the current political norms and force change. Then when those elected officials come along the same people go nuts and oppose them because they bucking the system.

I voted in person and it was very safe. I waited until election day. Covid did not change anything. Everyone was fine voting in person that I saw.

Do you judge diversity by skin color? Is there such a thing as diversity of thought in your world?

LOL! Of course they were fine with it, else they wouldn't have been there!

More than 100 million of us took the virus seriously and for whatever reason (illnesses past or current, mostly) decided that mailing it in, or going to early polls in states where those existed, was more prudent. I've nothing against in-person voting on election day, but this year was substantially different.

What I said. People say they want to change and pols agree with them rhetorically. What they really want is an improvement and that's not quite the same thing. Not all change is good for all people but you would think that was the case if you listen to most pols talk about it.
