~ Yes indeed. That is what the European Union is all about. All they need to do is add " United Nations " to the title and make it official.

It's quite a few pages, can you point out where it says that?

So some have expressed the need to limit world population to a number way below what it is now. Do you agree with forced sterilization, forced gender related abortion or any other methods you might no of? I know China has seen some "success" in those areas.
Yeah Daniel, I understand your comment. All I can say is that the Conservative mindset, mine included, seems to be more interested in doing than teaching. In my spare time, I have taught Sunday School with my wife to young kids for about 15 years. Hopefully I've had some degree of influence.
I think the education today is a result of those coming at the top. We have a lot of elitist snobs that are the epitome of "those that can do, those that can't teach." They award themselves humongous salaries and charge enormous sums for tuition. Students learn little practical knowledge to earn a living and when they can't repay their loan debt, professors advise that the government should forgive the debt. What I believe should happen is that Universities and Professors should forgive the loan debt and then government should get out of the education process altogether. Apprenticeship programs should be made ready available. Private education with scholarships (privately funded) should be the rule.

Here's the problem. You base all your opinions off the smaller percentage of college grads who don't get jobs instead of the millions who do. Our economy
has been powered by the research and scientific discoveries coming out of our universities (hell, the internet was born out of University of California labs).

The employment rate for college grads in the 25 to 34 year old range is 87%. So while you can bit ch about the fringe degrees, the vast majority of
college grads do end up in the professions and jobs that power this nation's economy. Yes, it does take a few years after graduation to get going, it's
asinine to claim that Universities are a waste of time.

So stop judging things by the outlying averages or the sensational stories you read online. One liberal professor making some stupid comment does not equal 10,000 professors teaching classes.

The youth protests of the 60's with the Hippies and Flower Children certainly impacted society, and in many ways started the silencing of Classic Liberals (today's conservatives). The Hippie Marxist/Communists could not find jobs in the real world after protests ended, so they landed in tenured professorships teaching Socialism/Marxism usually in the Sociology Departments on the fringe corner of campuses.

History repeats itself. Political "hot" topics are exactly the same today as they were 30 years ago, except that the Progressive Liberals managed to seep off the corners of campuses, infiltrate across all university departments, and escape into the real world. Anyone under about 40 years old thinks today's "Progressive Ideas" involving Socialism are doing something "new and world-changing".

The first 10-12 minutes of this "free speech" debate illustrates my point.

"That Freedom of Thought Is in Danger on American Campuses" (1991)

I take your advice in part. There are a lot of good people coming out of the Universities, but I contend there are a lot of good people going in. A large majority of that group just need the information and not so much the "teaching". They also have the goals and incentive. I'm bitching about the idea that every person needs a university education or they are worth "nothing". That has been the norm as long as I remember. All it does is line the pockets of the elite and often at the expense of government. A good many of us learn by doing.

They have been too stupid. Conservatives haven't conserved anything. So now that nation is on the brink of civil war.

Precisely. It mentions nothing about liberty. It is big on equity which is anathema to liberty.

How is that? How can you have liberty without equity?

If you have liberty the more industrious and talented among us will gather more social goods than the rest of us.

Here is a good archived article on how the "Global Warming" political scam began back in the early '90's. It is a globalist (anti-Capitalist) - Socialist wealth redistribution strategy. It essentially creates a trading market for wealthy investors to "buy and sell air" at a profit while the rest of us go without.

Actually no! Conservatives just would be hired. Students wouldn't get good grades in colleges either. My grandson had to fake liberal views to please his professors.

It's a reverse fascism, so that the intolerant and authoritarians are liberals rather than conservative.

~ When I tell someone the global climate catastrophe actually began with U.N. "scientists" they often do not know. Network "news" is a big problem in not presenting the facts from both sides... and here we are today .

Remember this? School kids are so brainwashed and indoctrinated these days, that even Liberal Democrat Diane Feinstein couldn't explain to them that what they've been taught about "Climate Change" is a total hoax. LOL

Poor kids. They'll never believe that schools lied to them....maybe until they are 30 or 40 years old and politicians are scaring people with another Ice Age where we will all freeze to death (like in the 70's).

The Russian revolution looked good to many Russians, after the Bolsheviks used the Tsar's free press to feed them lies and propaganda. The end result: Anywhere from 20 to 40 millions Christians killed, and 60 thousand churches burned, many with people inside.

The deaths exceeded that of the first centuries, and even exceeded that of the past 10 years, where the killings of Christians averaged about 300 a day, mostly in Syria - something that has been kept secret by our liberal press.

The problem with ideologues is that they believe the end justifies the means, so they have no qualms about lying, deceiving, calumniating, slandering, and also killing as long as they achieve their desired end result. So what you had in Russia was 20 to 40 million dead under Lenin's communist utopia, and 60 million under the utopia of Mao Tse Tsung. Then again there was also the 25 million under Hitler's utopia and his 'Thousand Year Reich'.

But it's to be expected when people with no conscience and no sense of right and wrong, decide they know what's best for mankind.

Take that you fools of misery.
For we as gods of lofty see,
are unlike you - such lowly fools
    who follow banal moral rules.

and not on earth, but in our stead

The whole green deal thing is so foolish. Our earth is heating up, and we are in for a bad time because of it, and it has nothing to do with what we're doing - except maybe our sins? But then again I'm a Christian.

Co-operatives incentivize participation. The UN coerces participation, which makes the UN collectivist.

Yes, well, I was fairly young and lived through the Mini Ice Age of the 70's. Then I lived through Global Warming which appears to have ended a few years ago.

The scientists just said, "Screw it. We'll just call it "Climate Change", then we don't look so stupid when the globe get hotter when we warned about cooling or have to explain why it got cooler after we told them they were going to fry".

    Enjoy the weather!

Play on words. Cooperatives are not examples of multi-lateral cooperation which is enabled by the machinery of the UN.

Drop the coercion nonsense. Your classical liberalism is obsolete in an economically and ecologically intertwined world.

Btw, self-interest incentivizes participation in the economy; but smart people know we are all in this together, on a finite planet.

I can understand the desperation of classical liberals to prove that anthropogenic climate warming is not real; but even so anthropogenic pollution from burning fossil fuels IS real, requiring a transition to a green economy.
