““Lockdowns don’t work. And in fact, all of the evidence on mandatory masks show that they don’t work either.”2

With that said, we thank God for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, and Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves in a country marching blindly towards absolute control and tyrannical sway.

Governor Reeves declared, “We are not going to participate in nationwide lockdowns … we believe that while they may make recommendations, that in this country under the Stafford Act when you have emergencies … Those emergencies have to be state-managed, locally executed, and federally supported. I don’t believe that there’s any constitutional or statutory authority for any president to shut down Mississippi’s economy. We will certainly fight that if it becomes necessary.”3 Hear! Hear!”

It is good that there is opposition to any national federal lockdown. We now know that lockdowns and mask mandates are next to useless. We will not let blue city mayors, blue state governors, nor a fascist federal regime in DC tell us what to do.

It is increasingly clear the Federal Government’s efforts to stem COVID-19 have failed, but that is not deterring it from continuing to disrupt the lives of the American people; including considering more lockdowns. Liberty-loving individuals, responsible leaders and especially the church must stand up and challenge this trend. If the church fails to lead the way, the entire nation will suffer.“

We tried it once, we crashed the damn of the economy into a mountain and the virus is rebounding.

Let's think it will work "this time" and try again!

The sad think is that the ones mot against the lockdowns will be the ones forcing the next one (hopefully not), through their reckless behavior.

The lockdowns have serious negative effects. Both my wife and I are being told by our pharmacy that our blood pressure medicines are not available. This will require several visits by both of us to our doctor trying to find a suitable replacement. It puts us at risk and ties up the doctors and nurses.

The virus will do its thing until enough people are vaccinated. What politicians do has absolutely nothing to do with that.

Cases based upon a bogus test are rebounding, as is the fear factor delivered by mainstream media.

A scam only in the sense that it has provided politicians an excuse to be authoritarian. Viruses do better in cold weather. Hence the increase in infections.

You've missed it somehow, but by way of the CARES Act, the rich have become richer and the poor have become more poor.

Trying something multiple times and expecting a different result.....There’s a term that applies to that...

Biden has not used the word "lockdown." I wish he would, for the sake of your life as well as my own.

When will the right take this virus serioisly? When will they heed the proven science behind mask wearing and social distancing? When will the right stop acting like petulant children and just put on a damned mask and skip the parties until it's safe? When will they cease holding super-spreader events? When will they act like they give a **** about something besides their personal comfort and convenience?

Why would new blood pressure medicine require "several visits by both of us to our doctor"?

Allow me to help. You best defense for anything is knowledge:

    https://www.heart.org/en/health-top...-pressure/types-of-blood-pressure-medications

Is your doctor not set up for online consultations? I think most are using Zoom, but if you live in a rural area without broadband, that would be difficult. Worth asking about, though. Ties up the doc's time for a few minutes, but his or her staff wouldn't have much burden that way.

Sincerely, trying to be helpful here. I share some of the same concerns.

Anyone willing to be TOLD and does lockdown, wear a mask, not congregate in large numbers and take a vaccine/drug at the command of elected politicians is without a doubt fully indoctrinated, compliant, subservient and no longer a participant in personal freedom(S)

People respond differently to medications. There are several which affect me negatively. One causes me to cough and one causes swelling in my ankle and feet. One did not work at all. There is no table which says if you are taking this medication you can switch to a different one without a bit of trial and error on dosage. I can and do take my own blood pressure, but invariably it differs from what the nurse gets.
I live in a very rural area. We have no neighbors within a half mile, none that we can see except for one about two miles away on the next ridge I get the internet via satellite.

Exactly. We need to protect the most vulnerable and the rest of us need to live out our lives as normal as possible with washing hands, building up resistance through sleep, exercise, supplements, social distancing until we can get the Trump vaccine. In the meantime we resist the authoritarian impulses of democrat leaders and openly defy their most egregious overstepping of our human rights and civil and religious liberty

Biden might have said shutdown instead of lock down. Big difference! Not! His advisors have certainly talked about a National 6 week total shutdown though. As to the science, there is none that supports a shutdown and there’s science that most mask wearing is next to useless. Why is it again that only when Christians or conservatives come together that there are super spreader events yet when liberals loot and riot in the streets or when big cities hosted Biden celebrations it was all a okay? Tell you what...we will consider listening to you all if your side cancels Biden’s public inauguration with the huge crowds and the parade for a private swearing in, and then cancels all indoor inaugural balls. Deal?

What I keep hearing from many on the Right is basically that most people aren’t going to die from this and since the death rate isn’t all that bad, in their opinion, that COVID is no big deal. Ok, yes, most people won’t die. Agreed. And yes, while the death rate might not be huge, it is still a big deal to those who’ve lost a loved one.
But there’s one other issue these people don’t seem to grasp which is hospitals being overrun by COVID patients. They don’t seem to understand what this is doing to resources and the toll it’s taking on doctors and nurses.

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.fo...e-hospitals-full-capacity-parts-wisconsin.amp
As of Tuesday afternoon, hospitals within the Mayo Clinic Health System in the northwest region of the state reached 100% capacity, local outlet WQOW reported. The Mayo Clinic Health System operates hospitals in Barron, Bloomer, Eau Claire, Osseo and Menomonie, per the outlet.”
"The public urgently needs to treat COVID-19 as the health emergency it is to prevent the health care system from being overwhelmed. We are pleading for everyone’s help to wear a mask and follow all public health guidelines to limit the spread of this disease," hospital officials said in a statement.
What’s more, some 300 of the system’s employees are facing work restrictions after possibly being exposed to the novel virus.

    https://www.npr.org/sections/health...surging-where-are-hospitals-reaching-capacity
As of Wednesday, nearly 62,000 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized around the country, surpassing the highs of the midsummer and spring surges. This is double the numbers hospitalized as of late September.”
“I fear that we're going to have multiple epicenters," says Dr. Mahshid Abir, an emergency physician at the University of Michigan and researcher at the Rand Corp. who has developed a model that helps hospitals manage surge capacity.
If that happens, Abir warns that there won't be flexibility to shuffle around resources to the places in need because everywhere will be overwhelmed.”

I think what we've heard about American defiance regarding Thanksgiving is a clue to how America will react to other Democrat power trips. Even if they prevail with this election scam they'll never be able to enforce their communist dictates. They have zero support from law enforcement and the military. They would have to build their own army and who are they going to recruit? Antifa, BLM? A bunch of losers against a determined, highly trained and disciplined force? These things are impossible to pull off without the country behind you. Again if they do prevail and we keep the Senate they'll be as impotent as a ninety year old man.
