Are you talking about rents? I thought we were talking about high end suburban communities.

For the same reason they get to have a huge Carbon footprint.

It's not only that they teach how important it is, they force it on other white communities who are not rich and affluent. Low income housing and busing are one of many ways liberals force diversity on the middle class, while they shield themselves from it. The whole while they call us racist because we don't want it forced on us all while they use their American capitalistic wealth to shield themselves from their own ideology.

Why not? If they are affluent then their property taxes would greatly improve the infrastructures of these poor neighborhoods. Or are they only interested in dipping into my pockets for that? They shouldn't ever be lecturing me on privilege if they aren't going to live in the mud their policies create.

Truth. The standards for thee, and not for me, seems to be their motto these days.

Do you think that the problem is maybe these liberal elites are just not meeting your expectations of what you make them out to be. I work in IT surrounded by what you would call fairly affluent liberal elites, many which probably live in those communities. I have never heard anyone advocate just taking all neighborhoods and many them universally diverse, they just want everyone to have the same opportunity achieve the success to live wherever they want. That probably includes supporting programs like free education and health care.

I may not be a liberal but I recognize that my wife and I own our success to education. I make more in a year than my parents made in a decade or more. I would would be willing to look at a free higher level education system. If not my wife and I plan on establishing a perpetual scholarship program that will survive us once we retire.

You mean that there are actually parts in cities where rich people are clustered and other parts in cities where poor people live... like ghetto's.... and this is news to you?

    OMG... lol.

lefty number whatever who missed the point completely.

Care to explain why people who shove the values and necessity of diversity down our throats actively avoid it in their own lives?

You mean... they want that policy to happen, and you're totally astonished that a complete social demographic shift did not happen overnight.... and want me to explain how this takes a bit more time? I think I be passing on that rather pointless opportunity to come to your aid and walk you through this very very hard to understand issue. Good luck with finding somebody else.

Duh . That would be true of every state in the country not just California. It would also be true of blacks, Hispanics or Asians and all whites who become affluent, they all usually move to a better neighborhood.

I'm only mocking that "jaw dropping discovery" that the rich aint living in a ghetto.
It's you who adds the label "stupid" to it.

Maybe you should start a poll and find out if it's indeed a stupid discovery.
It will be very exiting to find out what comes out of such a poll, no?

You're still acting like the point is money, when it's not....not at all. You are blatantly avoiding the real point. When you want to address it instead of ridiculous insults, then we can continue.

Where people live is the point. How much money people earn determines where people live.
Dunno how you can remove money out of the equation. Do explain.

Seems I have more and more friends in Arizona coming from those diminishing places. It is reminiscent of the Cuban refugees in Florida.

I'm not removing money from this. The point is the hypocrisy in their preaching of the importance of diversity and then choosing to avoid it in where they live. Having money has nothing to do with choosing to live in an all white neighborhood. That's why the money issue is irrelevant. Money doesn't force you to live among white people. How can you preach the importance of diversity and then choose to live in an all white neighborhood? Money has nothing to do with that choice which is why I can't figure out why people keep bringing it up.

I understand your point. I am white and would rather eat s%^& than live in a gated community. It would suffice to say that if I was black, there's no way in h^&* I would live in a gang banger neighborhood. 1st, I'd move into a shack in the country!!

Of course having money has to do where you live. The black community is much more poor than the white community. It's like that way since white Americans violently pushed back the social economic progress of black Americans in their apartheid dream that only legally ended in the 1960's. Donald personally got raised up in an US who legally still had that apartheid dream.

You don't get to solve that social economic situation in a couple of years, just because you made it a policy.
You don't get to mingle cheap housing with high end housing in a couple of years, just because you made it a policy.

And money has everything to do with all things in capitalistic America.
    The way you deny this.... h i l a r i o u s

:bleh: ~ Sounds racist to me. But then we are used to hypocrisy in politics. I suppose they have walls and gates around their property too ...

I'm denying that having money forces you to live around nothing but white people. Wanna show some evidence otherwise? Because you're acting like I'm making an absurd assertion. So, prove me wrong. If it's so absurd it shouldn't be too hard.

No, no significant gang activity and no white supremacists. There are pot areas to our west and an occasional meth lab. Our police department which we strongly back has the gangs, graffiti, and white supremacy groups under control. We have a big tourism industry and a mega church provides for strength in our economy. We are in the middle of revitalizing our downtown area now. redding ca downtown redevelopment https://stories.opengov.com/reddingca/published/a_qtgRiSX
We have a lot for people looking to move as well as for visitors. https://www.visitredding.com/
