Uhhhh.... are you sure that's a dog? Cause that really looks like the cat that wanders around my yard at night with really stinky farts.....

Cold brought the coyotes up into the neighborhood last night foraging for cats I guess. They were yipping in every direction. Only 1 of my regular community cats is unaccounted for but I haven't looked for him yet and it is not unusual for him to not be around this early. He is an old deaf Tom who can be kind of elusive. In addition to my official pet cats, I brought in a few of the ferals and walled them off on the Florida room from the house cats for safety from the coyotes and to keep any fighting among the cats from starting in the middle of the night as one of my house cats is verrrrrrry territorial. There were also a few of the regular visitors I didn't get inside huddled up under the car this morning which is unusual for them, but as long as they are safe.

Been to the Shed aquarium, the Indianapolis zoo aquarium, and the Chattanooga aquarium. Pretty sure they are bigger. But this is nice.

Somethings are better not known. The end to sad stories is one unless it has a happy ending. One good thing Smartie’s bar is still open.

I found limit 5 each microban, big cans of lysol and the big lysol wipes containers in the same store on the same day. It was like hitting the trifecta---well except instead of winning bigly I had to pay out bigly. Either way, I will be a rockstar at work for 5 minutes as we were down to nearing needing to ration COVID cleaners.

(Yes I will be reimbursed plus 20% for getting them).

Good thing you found them before someone else snatched them up. Finding a bottle of alcohol is not easy here. If everyone would just buy what they need and not overbuy everyone would have what they need. You would think everyone would have learned from past experience.

Alcohol was a problem early on but I see it more regularly now. I don't have a need for it really but even I have three bottles that were given to me "just in case". I am like just in case of what exactly? Not like I will be performing surgery on the kitchen table. Hand sanitizer is everywhere now and really the wipes are not that hard to find anymore, just most places limit you to 1 or 2 at a time. That is fine for individuals but businesses go through a ton of them and they are the ones most likely to encounter a random covid spreader from the flow of random people in and out all the time. Same with aerosol disinfectants. Trying to buy that stuff in bulk usually runs you into a long backorder wait time. It took 2 1/2 months to get the off-brand sanitizing wipes when we ordered a bunch of them and nobody even pretends to tell you how long it would take with lysol spray even if they will take the order.

My favorite public aquarium so far is in Chattanooga. I particularly liked the Jellyfish and Seahorse exhibit.

Wouldn't hurt to get a bottle of alcohol if you need it and if it is available.

Good morning, it is a cold chilly day here. I hope all of you are safe and virus free.

Do we need to do a headcount again? Some of the regulars are missing. You can't be into Christmas shopping that much.

Are any of those trees nest friendly? Berries and bugs readily available?

    LOL - there's a feeder there, too!

Our neighbor's tree - about 10' to the right, has a ton of birds, and room for nests. I'm expecting action. It's winter, now, so the snowbirds are here!

Bugs less available in the winter, but plenty of them come spring. They don't tend to eat the fruit that comes from the palms.

I cannot recall the last time I ever used the stuff for anything other than starting a blue-flamed fire when I was a kid. Much prefer peroxide.

In the mean time, someone who was at my house yesterday texted me that they were called into the office at work and informed that they "may have" been exposed to COVID from a co-worker who works right beside them who tested positive. I now must decide whether to wait until they are tested to be tested or what....

As hateful as this stuff is I think I would go get tested. You may or may not be infected and the same goes for your friend. There isn't anything to be done if you have it except trying to isolate so others won't be infected. This is a disease that has to make everyone think of the consequences of the big what if, so by all means stay safe and keep your loved ones safe.

Alcohol is good to keep just in case.
