The married couple of Doctors behind the Pfizer partner -BioNTech are the developers of the successful Covid vaccine. They are Dr Ugur Sahin and his wife Dr Ozlam Tureci both Turkish born German educated medical scientists. Germany's first billionaires. Congratulations and thank you to them both.

Did they manipulate the vaccine and introduce something that would be buried inside a Trojan Horse formula? Just thinking!

I had a neighbor in So. Cal that said he was a Chinese Jamaken Jew. Something for everyone to hate.
But this combo may have Max beat.

What does their nationality and place of birth have to do with anything? They're billionaires, they need to pay their fair share.

Some additional info: Sahin was born in Turkey and came to Germany when he was four. He showed a natural talent for science, used to borrow science books from a local church library when he was a boy and graduated from school with top marks in mathematics and chemistry.
His wife was actually born in Germany, her father was a surgeon in Turkey and migrated to Northern-Germany to work at a local hospital. Both, Sahin and Türeci, used to work as professors at the university of Mainz focussing on cancer research.
They are billionaires now, but not the first in the country. There are countless others like the Albrecht brothers (ALDI) who have been billionaires for probably half a century. Biontech's success was also made possible because of two investores (twin brothers and billionaires Andreas and Thomas Strüngmann) and the company is the patent holder of the vaccine which puts Sahin and Türeci into the top 500 most wealthy people on earth.
I'm no medical expert, but from what I understand, they took some of their findings from their cancer research to start the development of the vaccine. I have never read anything about them concerning their religious beliefs, btw; yes, they come from a Muslim background but apparently they don't consider themselves religious.

Even if they were religious as long as they are not Islamic extreme pro terrorists it can be ok.

Most of what I read online says they are Muslims. The reason I made mention of it is because the majority of posts are usually degrading to Muslims, while I was praising them and thanking them in this one.

a great accomplishment no doubt! Still, why does race and religion have to be mentioned? How does that make any difference? how about they are just TWO PEOPLE? Is it possible for you guys on the left to recognize people as PEOPLE and not by their color or religion for every single damn thing?

    SAD!

I wouldn't be thanking them yet as the dangers of the vaccine are just starting to show up.

Funny thing is, in the German media, I live in Germany, them being or not being Muslims is not really a topic and based on what I've read so far they don't mention it themselves. Regarding posts on this forum, I agree with you, but then again, this website is not the center of the universe.

The couple today indicated that should the vaccine prove ineffective against the recent mutated version they will see no problem in coming up quickly with a new effective version of the vaccine.
