Sounds like a pretty official rating system. Thanks for your input.

Except the Democrats did want this, they just passed it in the house with virtually all Democrats voting in favor.
Do you have a source where they were against it?

They should have blocked the deal. It's garbage. The only thing about it that WASN'T complete sh*t was the $2000. The rest is just sending money that we don't have to other people. And the $2000 itself is a bad idea in a vacuum, and is only reasonable in the context of taking a bigger cut of our own money out of this insane spending bill that uses the pretext of COVID to spend ridiculous money on things that have nothing to do with COVID. And even at $2000, we're STILL just getting a small percentage. We're a nation full of people on the edge of eviction, and congress is sending their rent checks overseas so that Pakistanis can learn what Xir means.

Yeah, Sanders has vowed to hold up the vote on the defense bill until the stimulus check bill is brought to the floor. Purdue and Loeffler can’t campaign in Georgia from DC. So it’s either they don’t leave DC or they vote on the check bill. The choice is McConnell’s. It’s quite a poison pill.

There’s a provision in the defense bill for those interested in cleaning up our business practice would be interested in. ‘Business Insider’ has an article on it and speculates the provision is the real reason why Trump held everything up.

Trump just stuck a fork in McConnell and the RP establishment.

Yeah, all that treaty money, and previously approved spending by that damn republican senate......

FTR, I agree with you that we give wayyyyy to much money to other countries. But Trump has actually expanded that, as most of what was in that was military spending for those countries ;)

Never thought of that... Politics is a dirty business...

McConnell blocked Bernie's effort, so I just read on my TV screen...

The King of Do-Nothings.... McConnell should be the best campaign the 2 D's can run....

One point I would disagree on as I don't think we're a nation of people facing eviction I think we have several states with people that are facing eviction at measurably higher levels.

Some areas won't suffer much at all, others will take years to recover. For example I think Florida will bounce back strong, in most ways my area has already recovered, we are booming, but Orange county will struggle cuz Disney.

Yada yada yada...Republicans bad...yada yada yada...Trump bad...it's like you want to agree that the bill is garbage and the spending outrageous, but you're too partisan to open the door to the possibility that the Republicans might have done something right by blocking it. And sticking it to the other side is priority one. Notice how I was able to make my point without even using the word "Democrat".

BS. Pointing out that REPUBLICANS are the ones who spend the money is very important. But you would rather just claim “dems bad for spending money...mongo dont like”.

    Facts matter

They didn't block it. What are you talking about? The president already signed it. It's done.

The $2,000 bill is a brand new bill.
