    Ok. Partisans don't generally agree with both sides.

    I view partisans as people who can only see the good from their team and only see the bad from team other. That's not me.

    How do you define partisanship?

    About the same you do. For me they are people who put political power above the common good, not that any two people can agree what the common good is. If I have offended you then I apologize. Rudeness seems to pervade every post on the forum. I guess some of it rubs off.

    Well, yesterday I said I'd support a Nikki Haley run in 2024. If I'm a partisan, it's towards genuine conservatism, which has almost nothing to do with most republicans today.

    I consider myself libertarian light, and oppose a whole lot of both team's current platforms.

    That seems like a rather hyperbolic statement.

    I would say quite the opposite.

    Only people begging to be banned engage in that sort of "rude" posting.

    Anyway, back to the OP, there seems to be much support (from both sides) backing the Hotel's decision.

    Fair enough. The fact that only six senators failed to support the monster spending bill tells everything you need to know about conservatism in the swamp. I'm not partisan either. I would like to see political parties disappear.

    The topic of THIS thread involves a Hotel and the Proud Boys.

    Once again, I support the Hotel's decision.

    Its been happening for quite awhile now. Nothing Liberal about it, that's Trump supporter culture right there.
    I remember attending Black bike week in Myrtle beach, and the locals telling us why everything was closed. Karma's a B.

    Yup, same thing happened in my home town during black bike week. I posted about it earlier.

    I defend that decision as well, trying to sue a business because they don't want to open up for your event is ridiculous regardless of the reason why. I say to the NAACP the same thing I said in this thread regarding the hotel. What are you proposing? You want the government to step in and MAKE private business open up for whatever event? Sure we have laws that say if a business is open then they have to serve you even if they don't particular like your race or religion or sexual orientation or whatever. We have no law that says a business HAS to open up for you if they don't like you.

    That would be ridiculous.

    Seems thats sorta whats happening with the lawsuit. I guess Im just the rare type of person who just wouldn't patron a place that has policy like that.
    Still had a good time at black bike week, even though we had to get a hotel out of town.
    We live in a litigious society..The situation will take care of it self.

    The problem is that folks don't tend to realize if you give that sort of power to the government then while you may like the decision this time you may not like it in the future. If the KKK or a Nazi white supremacist group decides to hold a rally or whatever in a town would the NAACP be in favor of the government telling the black owned business that you WILL be open and you WILL serve these people and you aren't legally allowed to be closed during those days? I doubt it. They'd come up with some justification as to why that's different.
