You are usually smarter than this post would indicate. Nobody in the history of prayers has ever 'misspoke' amen into 'amen and awomen'.

 

If Trump fan boys get upset whenever someone points out a coorelation to Donnie that reaction by the fan boys indicates a lack of objectivity. Or worse yet it indicates that maybe "truth hurts" and that they cannot accept the truth.
You realize that if certain names did not have to be have brought up this world would have been a better place. Example one would be happier if Stalin, Hitler, Putin or Sadam of Iraq did not have to have been brought up in political discussions about anti democratic people.

The word “amen” comes to us from ancient Semitic, passing through Greek and Latin nearly unchanged. Its cognate in Aramaic/Syriac, amin, testifies to its relatively unchanged nature. In none of these languages did the “-men” part of the word have anything to do with gender. Its actual meaning and use is in testimony to agreement or concurrence almost exclusively in prayer or religious ritual, although that has also crossed over into slang for obvious reasons.

Who care if some buffoon tried to create a artificial pronoun. Cleaver acted like a jerk and a buffoon just like Jin Jordan does at every Congressional hearing. The difference is that what Mr. Buffoon Cleaver did was harmless stupidity but what Jordan does is harmful to the country.

It was not harmless. It was an introduction of a foundation of gender bias where there was no gender intention. It is political correctness gone out of control. And the reason it is not harmless is it can easily become a stepping stone to attack religious prayer and the religious organizations.

But to say that Cleavers make fool's pronoun fantasy would lead to the loss of religious freedom is in by book just too far out there to accept even as a rational probability. Just to set the base line I am not in favor of same sex "marriage". You remember all those arguments about same sex "marriage." ?!
I heard and you must have heard some people claim that that will destroy religion. Some said that same sex marriage will be the slippery slope that will lead to men wanting to "marry" their female German Sheppards or some women will want to marry her Shetland pony. One or two sick asses maybe.

Still the government does not tell any religion or cult that they must "marry" same sex couples. If the government did that we would have one big assed Constitutional problem and possibly a revolt.

Don't you find it odd that some of the very same people who have fantasy nightmares about pronouns destroying religion do not see or do not care thatba POTUS is subverting our sacred Constitution ?? I find it odd and extremely dangerous that many people do not seem to care about our Constitution or our political freedoms and cheer a dictator wannabe on.
