Taking names of Democracy enemies on 1/6/2021

The traitors have made the list a certainty. The probable outcome for them is, unfortunately, minor. These things are too easily forgotten and/or passed over. Cruz and the others should never be forgiven, and never re-elected, yet he stands a chance of actually becoming President. The state of American politics has been abominable for a long time and does not appear to be improving. This is entirely due to the laziness of the voting public. The taste for unfit leaders amazes rational thinkers.

 

Cruz won't become president. He is again betting on the wrong horse. Trump's influence will fade and with demographic changes in America, the GOP will have more and more trouble in presidential elections. The 81,000,000 Americans who voted for Biden aren't going anywhere (are younger than the Republican voters) and will remember Cruz's lack of a spine in his despicable bowing to Trump.

 

As the saying goes, "From your lips, to God's ear!".

 

Most of the authoritarian atrocities of the 20th century were done under color of "law." Luckily for the rest of us, you and the other tinhorn totalitarians LARPING on this forum won't be either 1. making a real enemy list or 2 doing anything about it if you did. But keep on goose stepping in print for all to see, it's funny.

 

Besides believing your Post 173 is the 'end all' of the discussion, think past the immediate voting out those whom 'you' disagree with, and what has repeatedly been brought up in social media regarding finding out who did vote for particular politicians, and what should be done about them.

What is constitutional about pressuring Georgia's SoS to "find" votes or else? This is just a coup attempt, nothing else, and while the Constitution and federal laws do allow Congress to question EC votes, we, the non-naive, know why it's being done, and how it is actually support for an attempted coup. Especially given what Ben Sasse said, that ALL his colleagues with no exception know perfectly well (and say it behind closed doors) that there was no widespread fraud and Biden won fair and square, so it's not out of constitutional concern that they are doing that.

 

They can have those opinions but I'm free to vote them out if I can, or to advocate for others to help out in voting them out. Are you actually familiar with Democracy? Yes, we need to pay attention to what our representatives do, and take it into account next time they are up for reelection.

 

Holding differing opinions on issues is not the same as objecting to Repubs working to unconstitutionally throw out the results of the presidential election.

Not true. Questioning the validity of ballots is very constitutional and very legal. It is a cornerstone of democracy.
