I have an Idea, how about a fair audit of the election? If Biden won that will calm Trump supporters down. At least to the point that the Dems were.

 

As much as the mainstream media reports the end of the Republican Party, it isn't happening! We simply need to part ways with Trump and move on.

Expected, predictable, model-conforming data in a YouGov (no less) snap poll.

Snap polls are done in the wake of controversy to ultimately produce unusable findings. People's opinion changes as they expose themselves to new information. Polling people the same day as the event will absolutely produce data indicating "snap" judgements and high emotions.

Just my take, I don't like snap polls, but then again they are a data-point. Take your statistics with a grain of salt I guess.

That is not accurate. The question in the poll is "Supporters of President Trump have stormed the US Capitol to protest lawmakers certifying Joe Biden’s election victory. Based on what you have read or heard about this, do you support or oppose these actions?"

On this site, there have been plenty of posts that made excuses for the rioters. While your circle may have condemned the acts, there exist too many that approve, which is highlighted in the poll.
