In 1918 Eugene Debs got 10 years for making a speech condemning America's participation in WWI. I would think a person who incited a terrorist attack on the Capital would get at least 25 years. I believe something must prevent this monster from traveling around the country encouraging his minions to seek combat justice.

On a political level, it would be a great gift to make him a martyr. Furthermore, now he is becoming useless, he made his work, but establishment and globalization challengers need to be renewed.
I think you are right - the last thing anyone wants is for him to become a martyr. There are enough charges hanging over his head in relation to tax fraud that he will see jail time
If he end in jail, he would likely be seen as a martyr. I'm quite parted away considering the situation. I'm very strongly against free trade, and Trump was the only one that opposed that, I can't say I appreciated the man extremely otherwise. Considering the law, I'm a globally strict legalist. I'm against tolerance for illegal immigration, as any form of corruptions of politician. What is important to consider is that the next years would be of an incredible economic violence for the USA. The FED have never printed so much money, the debt is off the chart. Biden would sign free trade treaties which will worsen the condition of competitions for americans, as they would have to compte with much poorer countries. The covid economic crisis is worse than the 2008 one, potentially as big as 1929 one. By the way, as the economy would collapse, people would become more extreme. I wonder at which point Biden would be able to blame the horrors of the next 4 years on Trump.
