We now arguably have the justification for shutting down Fox News, Breitbart, Newsmax, etc.

what I see and have seen for many years is Fox News being the propaganda wing of the Republican Party with CNN and MSNBC being the propaganda wings of the Democratic Party. You can't get straight news anymore with just reporting this event happen without being told what to think about that event from the different political view points.Needless to say, I'm not the only one who distrusts the media or news channels to report the news accurately, fairly and fully.

    !!!!!!!

But you weren't concerned about Trump being compromised by Putin although it was far more likely given the secret meeting between them and Trump consistently sucking up to Putin. Amazing. Where is your objectivity?

You're in denial. That law says "Whoever incites, sets on foot, assists .... in any rebellion or insurrection .... shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both" and that relates directly to RW media like Fox. But you're right - Fox is not guilty until proven guilty in a court of law.

    Not just lefties apparently...
Talk Radio Giant Tells Hosts to Drop ‘Stolen Election’ Rhetoric
“Cumulus has a big, broad set of interests — they have advertisers, sports contracts, nonconservative podcasts, dealings with the F.C.C. over station licensing,” Mr. Rosenwald said. “They understand that if you get involved in something that risks instigating violence, there’s a serious danger to the bottom line.”

Instead of spewing personal opinions and personal attacks you could try facts backed by citations.

That is a false story. You fell for propaganda.

I listened to Mark Levin on my ride home about 1 hour ago, who they specifically named. He said there was no memo and no one from Cumulus told him anything regarding his content.

Lemme know when you can provide a link, like this one.
    https://www.washingtonpost.com/life...2ec46e-537c-11eb-a817-e5e7f8a406d6_story.html

    "
“We need to help induce national calm NOW,” Brian Philips, executive vice president of content for Cumulus, wrote in an internal memo, which was first reported by Inside Music Media. Cumulus and its program syndication arm, Westwood One, “will not tolerate any suggestion that the election has not ended. The election has been resolved and there are no alternate acceptable ‘paths.’ ”

The memo adds: “If you transgress this policy, you can expect to separate from the company immediately.”

Communism is coming to america, this thread is where it’s origins ca
outright lies, well, neither fox nor cnn, MSNBC frequently state outright lies but they are EXTREMELY BIASED AND DISHONEST. They take the truth and stretch it to the point where we have a hard time knowing what is true and what is not true... They will present some facts, omit others and give us a completely distorted image of reality... without actually stating outright lies too often, just biased opinion and certain carefully selected facts which fit narratives.

I plead with everyone to tune it to local news in the morning.... then put CNN and fox news. Even a child can see that these networks have become reality TV, dishonest, pushing agendas, it's an embarrassment to journalism and they are the #1 reason we are divided. Take them out and we instantly become less divided. You can't put cnn, MSNBC, fox without getting angry after 5 minutes of their coverage. It is kinda true that they have become sort of the enemy of the people.... there is some truth to that, they divide like no other.

    Inflammatory? To whom?

Highly ignorant statement? Yes. That's expected out of Schumer. I have no idea how he reached the level he attained.

Lies, I suppose there's been some. But the news is slanted toward whichever party they're a propaganda wing for. They don't just report on the event, they line up a thousand guest to tell you what happened and what you should think about what happened. In short, they have taken sides in our political battles. Fox on one side, CNN and MSNBC on the other.

Watch their reporting, watch their shows, switch back and forth, you'll catch on. Now one can't blame them as these networks are owned by corporations and news is a business. First each wants to keep their viewers they have, so they give the news in a way to please their viewership. Then they try to attract new viewers. The more viewership, the more they can charge for their commercials and the more more money they make.

There's a reason why conservatives flock to Fox and liberals to CNN and MSNBC, they get the news in a way they want to hear it. Good for business, bad for the consumer if one wants the straight news, reported fully, fairly and accurate. Which none of those three networks do. The news is slanted to make their viewership happy and will keep on returning to watch the news on their network. It's a business to them. It's all about making money. Very simple.

This is why a third of all Americans, 33% have no trust at all in the MSM to report the news fully, fairly and accurately while adding another 27% who have very little trust in the MSM to accomplish that. A total of 60% of all Americans have little to no trust at all that the MSM will report the news fairly, accurately and fully. They report on just what they want you to hear and how they want you to hear it according to their slant, either left or right.

you're reverting to 'they're all the same' meme and that's just not so. FOX was created for a purpose, to make sure America never got it wrong again like we did with Nixon. end of story full stop. their slant is vertical during the day and flat out treasonous at nite. I can't stand most msm cos it's a club party scene but there's is just a normal slant cos they hate traitors and there's always BS going on with that nasty bunch. again, if you can show me an msm Tucker, Hannity, Pierro, etc or any of the loony toons they have on then we're on different planets.

What it actually says is "[The Congress shall have Power . . .] To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions"

Using this section of the constitution to justify shutting down news networks would be a clear exploitations and reinterpretation of the law. If the supreme court were to rule on such a notion, they would be unanimously against it

So your logic is that we can't dare enforce the law to protect the USA because it might cause some right wing snowflakes to fuss?

Ok, then maybe the approach I suggested several times in this thread as an alternative remedy is the better solution: ....

Ah, you're equating night time political talk shows to news. Political talk shows are just that, political talk shows and aren't news. Period. Whether it's Maddow or Hannity, they're not reporting news, they talking politics to like minded viewers. There's no reporting of the news on political talk shows. They're hosted with a mind and the purpose to get the viewer to support their views, party and candidates. the one thing they don't do is report the news. They tell you you should think this and do that. There's no news reported at all on political talk shows.

For news reporting you basically have to go to the 0900-1700 time slots. After 1700, you have your political talk shows, you don't have news reporting.

And immediately following that it says "[The Congress shall have Power . . .] To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the Militia". And that is a very different militia than what these yahoo pretenders want us to believe.

I would think the fake news is actually Mark Levin. He's probably trying to stoke the anger against attacks on his lying media and trying to further incite civil war in favor of his beloved fascism.

even in the few instances I tune in I've actually been quite informed by Rach's show, important info that nobody really matches, she's rather old school reporting and I don't see any legit knocking of her. compared to 0 important news from FOX or any hate media cos they have 1 purpose, lie and infuse hate, confusion, and division. it's nite vs day between those two entities. you do know why real news and honesty were eliminated, and when, right?
