All you trumpers who think the Dems are over reacting there's a few things to consider. Just about the only bank in the world that would do business with trump, Deutsche Bank, is thru with him. The PGA cancelled the 2022 tournament at trump's golf course in Bedminster. No business people of any integrity are going to do business with any one named trump. I hope he did well under the table because he has a lot of big, big loans coming due.

The last 'snub' I just heard is that Bill Belichick has refused to accept a Medal of Freedom from trump.

Maybe Belichick had enough of politics after Vladimir Putin stole one of his SuperBowl rings.

Ah, it was the owner, Kraft, not Belichick

Here's how Vladimir Putin stole a Super Bowl ring from the Patriots' Robert Kraft
    https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...per-bowl-ring-from-the-patriots-robert-kraft/

As every player in the NFL knows, it's not easy to get your hands on a Super Bowl ring. If you want a ring, you either have to play for the team that wins the Super Bowl -- or you can do what Vladimir Putin did, and just steal it.

That's right, you read that correctly: The president of Russia has a 'hot' Super Bowl ring.

It all started in 2005, when Patriots owner Robert Kraft was in Russia with Sandy Weill, a friend who was the president of Citi group at the time of the trip. Kraft had just received his ring for the Pats' win in Super Bowl XXXIX, so he decided to show the ring to Weill.

After seeing it, Weill had what turned out to be a horrible idea: "Show the ring to Putin."

"I took out the ring and showed it to [Putin], and he put it on and he goes, 'I can kill someone with this ring,'" Kraft said in 2013. "I put my hand out and he put it in his pocket, and three KGB guys got around him and walked out."

Your post is a perfect example of how both Dems, you, and many others ARE overreacting.

One can only hope that you reap twofold what you sow.

It's to be expected that the cheaters would trust their own cheating; and the cheated would distrust the cheating.

    1. It makes a point.
    2. It bars Trump from running in '24.
    3. As this impeachment is on the charge of inciting insurrection, any official that has officially backed his action would be disqualified from holding office per the 14th Amendment.

This is less about removing Trump as it's too late and more about satisfying procedural requirements. In short, Trump's head isn't alone on the chopping block even though he's the subject of the impeachment.

It is to be expected the worshipers of a false prophet will only listen to the prophet and his disciples and ignore the words of the heathens. They are the enemy after all, and not to be trusted.

Hillary is still claiming that the election was stolen from her in 2016. Told Biden to not concede under any circumstances. Both stances have been applauded by Dems. Yet when Trump does it its bad and inciting riots and sedition and demands for impeachment. Funny how that works eh?

    1. It makes a point of the abusive nature of the left, which they should have learned from their first impeachment charade.
    2. Only if 67 Senators are foolish enough to abuse their own power.
    3. The President never incited an insurrection, unless you think calling for a peaceful march is inciting an insurrection, which of course it isn't.

Why do you suppose that your message isn't responsible for the rioting that happened all summer?

You are accusing others of being "low information" but you seem to ignore the precedent that if impeachment is finalized by the House while the office holder is still holding his office, the trial will happen in the Senate even after the office holder is gone, and the penalty of stripping the convicted ex-politician of his right to run for office again, is still possible. So, before accusing a whole demographic of not being a real sharp bunch of pencils, you might want to educate yourself on this matter. In other threads here, all the precedents, constitutional articles, and House and Senate rules were thoroughly explained, with links to the official Senate website and various legal scholars. Get informed.

It shows they feel it their duty, under oath, to protect the Constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic.

Freedom of speech is one of the hallmarks of our Constitutional freedoms. It's what allows liberals like you to spew your hate and venom here day after day.

Where does it state in the Constitution that the Senate can convict the President on impeachment AFTER he leaves office? And/or what is the legal argument for such? Not necessarily disagreeing...just want to understand the logic.

Apples and Orangess Ka'Stang. Hillary didn't go around the country with then-President Obama Boldly Proclaiming Hillary won the electoral college by a landslide. Nor did Obama refuse to turn the oval office over to Trump and demand the Electoral College give the election to Hillary, via a then-Vice-President Joe Biden decree in the Capitol during the Electoral College reading before the House and Senate. Nor did Hillary demand of the #1 terrorist group in our nation (white supremacists) that they go down to the Capitol and, "fight like hell," and keep the electoral college from stealing the election from her. Lies. LIES. LIES!!! And calls for VIOLENCE against our Democratic Republic is treason. Period. And that is what Trump is guilty of.
