Based on the nominee's actions and judgment - not zip code, race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability - it's pretty clear that Levine is the next to last person we need to get people through the pandemic. The last person is Joe Biden.

PS. Note how the Lefties at Politico didn't even mention Levine sending Covid patients back to nursing homes.

No doubt, we'll see more of this from the LW MSM in the future...

Why did TEXAS refuse for months to report their nursing home deaths from Covid??? Why have death rates in virtually every states nursing homes been extremely high??? Levine ordered nursing homes to readmit recovered Covid patients who had no place else to go. Would you prefer hospitals dump them out on the street once they recovered from Covid?????

 

That's because their lives, their jobs and their freedom are essential while ours are not.

 

This happened in a lot of states. I don’t think anyone knew what we were dealing with initially. I know I thought I’d only be working from home for a couple weeks. That was 10 months ago....

 

Why didn't this paragon of "leadership" and "expertise" come up with an alternative that didn't wind up exposing and killing people from the most vulnerable segment of our population?

IDK. I would have removed a parent/grandparent if possible. Some of those patients cannot be safely brought home for medical reasons and with medicaid/medicare only allowing so many hospital days, they had to go somewhere I guess.

 

I have to disagree. Corona virus has been around for many years and, like the flu, elderly are most susceptible. If you were trying to protect elderly from the cold or flu, would you concentrate them in a confined setting?

 

Where would you have them go? What’s your alternative?

Levine implemented the policy last March in her role as Pennsylvania’s health secretary. President-elect Joe Biden nominated Levine this week to serve in his administration as assistant health secretary in the Department of Health and Human Services.

 

I don’t think it was known how easy it was to spread. How else do you explain the issues many states had with nursing homes?

 

Maybe not to the average person, but those in the medical field knew or should have known. Certainly this one knew enough to pull her own mother out of the home.

 

So why did so many states screw it up?

the reality is, Nursing Homes should have separated infected people, they failed to do this, hospitals could not give up a bed for everyone that showed no symptoms and tested positive, not enough beds

 

some nursing homes were worse than others.... that is for sure
