Occams razor. There is a much higher likelihood that Trump was guilty of those things then Mueller threw away a life of service to the Republican Party and Ideology, just to get rid of the POTUS/Head of that party for still unexplained reasons.

Except apparently he knew early that Russian collusion never occurred. Perhaps his motivation was he wanted to be remembered as the man who brought the president down. During the Congressional questioning he almost came off as someone who was not really in control over even knowledgeable of the report which bore his name.

Considering that "collusion" isn't a legal term, I doubt he knew anything of the sort. His report is quite extensive in its conclusions as well as it's punt to Congress to make a determination of the facts he collected.

And I didnt watch his testimony and don't know the guy so I can't opine on his knowledge. So I just focus on the report itself.

Since we're going off-topic, I wonder if he'll blunder as bad as destroying the economy, 400,000 deaths, cause an insurrection at the capitol, having the lowest approval rating in history, and giving the House/WH/Senate to the other side.

Apparently Mueller's team had exhausted all witnesses early in the investigation and were aware by then that no collusion with Russia had occurred.

"He didn't, it appears. In the wake of the release of Mueller's report, there are indications that special counsel prosecutors mostly knew by the end of 2017, and certainly by a few months later, that the evidence would not establish that conspiracy or coordination — or collusion, to use the popular term — had taken place."

That's fine. Interesting the formulation of the specific wordage. They did attempt to accept help at the hotel meeting, they did work with Stone who worked with WikiLeaks etc..

Plus there is the part 2 component of potential obstruction, which was punted to Congress.

I've said repeatedly that I didn't believe there was an active deal between Putin and Trump. But I do believe that Trump has been funded by Russian mob money via Deutsch Bank since the 90s, which explains his inability to go at Russia in any meaningful way.

Mueller's investigation was a good and relatively thorough one, and details a significant amount of shady actions by Trump admin staff.

I don't know of any evidence of mob money but in some ways DT was pretty stinkin' hard on Russia. Yeah it was very detailed, sometimes seeming to include stuff which seemed legally irrelevant but included to show Trump in a negative light. Now we get to see if Biden has the balls to take on China in any kind of meaningful way, who I would consider a more significant threat than Russia.

I agree with your last point. Neither has the Wests best intentions at heart, though both go about it in different ways.
