The Russian Revolution which was 1917 if I remember correctly. The battle between the Red Army and the White Army. We went against Lenin of course.
He was talking about the U.S. and several other nations sending troops to support the non communist side in the post World War One Russian Civil War. IIRC the U.S. lost a couple of thousand troops there.
EU handed China a strategic victory with CAI 3 weeks ago as Germany pushed this deal through to conclude its turn leading the bloc, Biden was not impressed. https://eminetra.co.uk/europe-handed-china-a-strategic-victory/199618/ EU have their 1st uniformed force, a border force; they wish to have an armed force to distance themselves from NATO. The EU have plans to topple the US Dollar and have Euro be the world's most used currency, the Euro is backed by a bunch of German banks. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...global-dominance-in-a-bid-to-bolster-the-euro The EU even hate it when you speak English now UK's left. https://www.express.co.uk/news/poli...mmanuel-macron-english-ireland-national-rally The EU even wishes to empty London https://www.express.co.uk/news/poli...es-City-of-London-latest-UK-trade-deal-update Countries in NATO who pay their fair share are US, UK, Poland and Greece. Germany have more money than Poland and Greece. It's true that the average German hates America, I've met Germans on here who hate America, I've hosted Germans in my native London when a US President was in town (Obama), they didn't want to see Obama, didn't think much of America, in May 2011, the same month Obama took out Bin Laden and after the fact, because I remember using that fact in America's defence with that person that week when getting political with them.
Germany hates Americans because of the self-elitist attitude we all supposedly have. But like America, other countries have their "fake news" as well. Germans are told that ALL Americans are self-absorbed ego maniacs that don't care about anybody or anything but themselves. As this is mostly true, the German people don't ever see ACTUAL Americans on a daily basis. Other countries see wealthy Americans that are able to travel.....they don't see hard working people that have to slave for a dollar every day, just to make ends meet at the end of the month. And vice versa. Germans are also adamant about NEVER having being equated with Hitler. Hitler was an aberration, not a German. Although, if this is true, you think they'd be nicer to people, right? Real German people may be leery of you at first, but if you are a decent, hard working person that isn't what they think of as their media portrays what Americans are, they will treat you fairly. How do I know this? I've spoken with actual German people on this subject. And this is what they tell me. As to any specifics as to why we defend them.......isn't that what civilized societies are supposed to do?
That's true of anywhere. Go to America, you see the sort of American that don't travel. Go to UK, you get to see the type of Brit that don't travel.
First, the person you're replying to is well-known for making incorrect and painfully superficial claims that are based on his personal perception and ideology, not on facts. Second, the claim "the average German hate America" is complete bollocks, especially if it's based on the dumb 'I talked to a few of them on this forum, they told me, so it must be representative of 83 mill. people' assumption. Let that level of ignorance sink in. Wouldn't you agree that this is as thin an argument as it gets? As someone who lives in Germany, I can assure you that there is no "fake news" telling people that all Americans are this or that. Maybe you can point out what media you're talking about that depict Americans in a certain way. We can check them out. Seriously, where do people get this unbelieveably dumb and superficial nonsense from? I'm half-way familiar with the 'merican media landscape and trust me, regarding "fake news" and attempted indoctrination, the US seems in a league of its own. Sure, if you talk to someone who denies Covid or the Holocaust, considers democratic institutions a thread to their personal liberty, etc. they'll tell you Germany is one gigantic hellhole taken over by communists and globalists. Concerning the US, it has lost considerably in terms of its reputation in the last couple of years, mainly due to the liar in chief with the absurd make-up. He simply wasn't very popular pretty much all around Europe and in other parts of the world.
