Trump started no wars, but we do need a strong defensive military as general policy. The Portland Anarchy went on for a long time before any troops, and never to the level of the Authoritarian Inauguration. Capitol Protest dealt with in thread already.

I respond to many posts that are posted in good faith, that include topical claims and indicia of adult discussion: a poster's OWN reasoning, summarized sources, facts, examples, analogies, opinions, anecdotes.

But a large contingent of this forum posts 1. only one liner baiting, trolling, and/or 2. obviously unread googled link/video/gif spam unaccompanied by any adult reasoning. Wonder what political disposition comprises an overwhelmingly large amount of that garbage posting here?

Repeats red herring. The 2016 protests and 2020 protests were comparable, just that the 2016 protests were far more violent per capita. When you admit in print the irrefutable fact that the Trump Protest on 1/6 was 99.9% peaceful per capita, we can continue, there's no point otherwise.

If you are phone posting or the equivalent, one-liner posts for whatever reason, sliding, baiting, or even sincerely, you aren't due any more measured or thoughtful response than the quality of what you yourself provide. It's -arrogant- and presumptuous to believe otherwise, and it's almost all one side of the fence with that arrogant, presumptuous attitude.

I watched the whole thing and saw exactly the opposite. You want to have your vision checked. Or, possibly, your moral compass.

 

I disagree, but the gratuitous failed insults are hilarious. I love having my confirmation biases re you and yours stroked on a weekend.

 

We spend more on the military than all the other major countries combined, even including China here. Our military is more offensive than defensive and an invasion of the US isn't plausible.

 

Compared to your 'keep believing that' your canned response which you lazily reply often to me and others on this forum? I should think so.

That's rich, considering you characterized the inauguration, an event which any reasonable person would have held as a beautiful event, as 'Authoritarian Empire Inauguration', which is beyond the pale hyperbole, some might even characterize it as a troll post, not done with sincerity, but done just to get a rise out of people (but I won't, it's against the rules here).

And your comment is textbook projectionism. Now that others are onto you, you are accusing others of that which you are most certainly culpable.

I know this to be true because I have posted in good faith to some of your comments, and got a one liner snark response from you.

Now, the above line is open for debate. If you can prove other wise, please do. Like you said, everything you post is a matter of record. If you respond with a one liner snark, as you often do, you will prove my point.

 

Once again, this thread is an opinion thread in the political opinions and beliefs subforum. You have stated your opinion, and that's just fine. Please feel free to post whatever other topical things you like, that's fine too. I may or may not respond, and that's also perfectly fine.

 

Apparently many here and elsewhere agree with my opinions of the Authoritarian Empire Inauguration. As far as "hyperbole," anyone can instantly find that despite several years on this forum, I start relatively few threads, and unlike other posters, you for example, most of them are not full of partisan deck-stacking culled and parroted from the Pravda Press, but my own opinions and analysis instead.

 

Both of them were too old to run. A better choice would have been Ivanka or Don Jr.
