One of the most interesting graphis of the COVID era was the cell phone tracking done.

An data analysis corporation tracked the cell phones coming from one specific Florida beach.

It showed those cell phones from that one beach spreading out over the entire eastern half of the nation, with a good number making it all the way to the west coast - a clear illumination of what Florida contributed with its spring break parties, wide open beaches, and parties.

The whole STATE of Florida made itself a super spreader event, killing people across our nation with its sheer irresponsibility and greed.

 

What I find objectionable to your whole approach here is that you're just trying to shift blame away from the governor.

There was no need for more or better data.

And, Florida has never STOPPED "stumbling in the dark".

 

Does it matter if he liked the order or not? It's not his order to give. He can offer guidance, but it's ultimately up to Miami to issue the regulation. Your position was that the guidance was indicating regulations that were too loose, meanwhile Miami was so locked down it was illegal to ride a bike or raft. Are you suggesting that better advisement from Trump or DeSantis would have prompted Miami to issue regulations that were even more strict than the regulations indicated on the emergency orders list I linked? Can you indicate what you think they forgot on there?

Masks were ordered April 4th. When was it that CDC recommended masks in public? It was about that same time, wasn't it?

The Florida governor has LONG stated that state resources will be brought to bear against any local governmnet that chooses to take action to protect itself against COVID unless they conform to the governor's orders.

 

Trump is not President, in case you aren't paying attention. Joe is here to save the day. So when is he going to personally defeat this pandemic? That was one of his campaign promises! We must all be safe now.

Biden IS taking the actions necessary - expediting vaccine production and delivery, pushing for financial aid to those most hurt by the pandemic, using the defense production act to create more PPE - which is STILL in short supply in many hospitals due to Trump's refusal to help, stating truthful information concerning where we are in order to support steps being taken locally.

Trump was doing absolutely NOTHING. You can't expect the next president to change that such that you are personally benefitted instantly.
