I learned back in the 70's how to recognize propaganda. I thank the US Army for that learning opportunity.

With your steady consumption of mainstream media, and the posts you make here, it is clear you are unable to recognize propaganda when it is fed to you. So sorry RJ.

    Interesting but telling.
BTW, this isn't the 70's anymore and you are swallowing the propaganda but the truck load.

Trump Isn’t the Only One on Trial. The Conservative Media Is, Too.

"The apparatus that fed him much of his power — the conservative news media — is facing a test of its own. This might ultimately have a much bigger impact on the future of American politics than anything that happens to Mr. Trump as an individual.

In recent weeks, two voting-technology companies have each filed 10-figure lawsuits against Mr. Trump’s lawyers and his allies in the media, claiming they spread falsehoods that did tangible harm. This comes amid an already-raging debate over whether to reform Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, which prevents online companies from being held liable for the views expressed on their platforms.

“The greatest consequence of the Trump presidency has been the weaponizing of disinformation and parallel dismantling of trust in the media,” Mark McKinnon, a longtime political strategist and co-host of the Showtime political series “The Circus,” told me in an email."

BBC is good. I tend to use NPR myself more often than others. I prefer less biased sources where they're available.

I keep trying Fox to see what the spin is on specific issues. But the spin is so overt it is difficult to watch. Part of what makes CNN a slog as well. But that is why they are popular, and why NewsMax and OAN are on the rise. The majority of people want to hear opinions that reaffirm their beliefs. It's no different than seeking out reviews on a game / movie / tv series to get your opinions validated.

Good to see others showing interest in seeking out less biased sources.

Not that I'm aware of. I just listen to them on the radio when I'm driving. Not doing nearly as much of that these days as before the pandemic. They do host their radio show on their website, which you can also listen to if you have something to do that doesn't require much thought.
