I think he lied to Congress so he is most likely lying about this. This is the guy who claimed Trump never knew Pence was in danger on Jan 6th, and couldn't pronounce Philadelphia.

The hypocrites are the people who called last summer's rioters peaceful, the people who urged on the rioters, the people who said destroying property is not violent, the people who threatened to sue Trump if he tried to stop the riots, the people who said all sorts of things from Harris to Waters to news anchors, the people who said using the national guard to stop the riots was the act of a Nazi while they used the NG to protect the capital.

Just a thought. Until the bad actor(s) are discovered anyone could be credited as responsible. For those who claim victimization (ref. your suggestion that the "rioters" may feel betrayed), I think it best to look within oneself for the explanation of one's circumstance as a consequence of individual acts or decisions. Blaming others, seems to me, is the unwillingness to accept any personal responsibility for one's behavior and current circumstance.

 

I think it is par for the cancel culture course and, yes it has to stop. It will stop when some of the people who do this sort of thing become familiar with the inside of a jail cell.

As I said earlier if this is true then of course it is wrong. If this is a Trumpian type lie then that is beyond despicable.

 

Nobody but the people involved know if it's true or not. Nevertheless, why would someone lie about something like that? I'm not saying they wouldn't. I just don't see what is gained by speaking out about it.
