Your attitude would have made WWII in this country miserable. Americans sacrificed a lot during WWII, for the common good. All you are asked to do is wear a mask.

But, hey, **** other Americans, amiright?

Was anybody FORCED during WWII to buy war bonds? Where women FORCED to work in factories?

The difference here is the inability of some people to see the affect of force when applied to policy.

If people are that afraid of this virus, why are they even leaving home? Can they not stay home? I don't understand the logic.

Rationing was enforced, yes. You couldn't buy more than the allotted amount for many items, including gasoline, tires, coal, shoes, other things.

Nobody bitched like a whiny girl about it. It was the patriotic thing to do.

"Wah, Wearing a mask is itchy!!!!"

Bunch of ******* in this country, now.

NY? Very easy to explain. Ever been to NYC? With 8.4 million people in NYC it's the most densely populated major city in the country. Millions of people living on top of each other. Thousands crammed in subway stations and on subway cars. Thousands crammed together walking to work. Thousands sharing elevators where there live and where they work. It should be no mystery why COVID spread like wildfire in that type of situation early on before we knew much about COVID.

Again, pray tell, what are the states that have orders to bunker up at home and wear 37 face masks? Hint: None. There is no current US state practicing lockdowns. Stop whining about orders that are a figment of your imagination. I guess your handlers told you to complain of lockdowns and you are doing so, despite no lockdowns currently existing. Great. [insert rolling eyes here]

Your 'rights' come with concomitant responsibilities. In a civilised society that includes obeying competent authorities especially during a pandemic.

Nobody is FORCING you to wear a mask. If you don't want to wear a mask, you are free to not wear one. If you visit a business that requires a mask before you enter, it is your CHOICE to not enter that place of business because you CHOSE to not wear a mask.

    Savvy?

Actually, yes people bitched, in fact they set up a black market for rationing.

Things weren't all roses and unicorns.

But I digress. I do wear a mask. My entire family does, but to be honest I don't think it matters. If we are going out in public you accept a certain level of risk and masks in my opinion don't really make a difference.

~ Yes indeed - especially when the goofy Governor forces the most vulnerable into an incubator that results in Covid petri dish --
then gets a TV show and an Emmy Award ! ? :confuse:ยด

~ We should. That's what we did with the Hong Kong flu in '68.

~ We do that also in Los Angeles. Nice to see ...

I'll take 100+ years of medical science & the world's leading medical & scientific experts over the word of a random internet dude with an uninformed opinion.

Define competent, because we haven't had a government like that in a long time.

    Just look at facts.

The blue states with mask mandates have more infections and more deaths.

I'll ask you a question, and I'll bet you dance around it.

If everybody wore masks all the time, would there be zero transmission?

    Nope.

Blue states tend to be more crowded, with people living in closer proximity. Hmmmm... ponderous.
