She was coming a crime by not having the dog on a leash as per the first hit that came up. That alone ranges in penalty depending on area of the country.

You should read the entire exchange including the fact that she “lunged” at him as per the article. Do people frequently lunge at someone if they feel they are being harassed?

    http://www.nytimes.com/2020/05/26/nyregion/amy-cooper-dog-central-park.amp.html

It seems her penalty has been more than what paying police back for any investigation would have been however.

Was she in commission of a statute violation prior to his request? Is it harassment to demand someone follow the law?

He is trying to poison her off leash dog now... Jesus

So your justifying his behavior based on two wrongs make a right so it was okay for him to terrorize her while behaving like a vigilante? That's sure what it sounds like.

Really? Is that what you derived from that video?
    That he was “terrorizing” her?

I have already said that I was presented with new information and her repercussions were far more sever than a financial penalty.

    Restitution for what?

10,000 times more resources have been spent chasing down this woman and trying to ruin her life than were spent on whatever she did.

The dog should have been leashed and she should be fined for that. Dogs should be under control.

If you claim that most people are not racist, then it wouldn't explain that interracial marriage in the US is still around 17 to 20%.
You also got thinks like the American Psychological Association, and they judged that racism is profoundly present in the US society, all the way into the US justice department. It causes all kinds of systemic racism issues as in white people commit more drug related crimes, yet black people get +300% more arrests, and on average much longer sentences under the same circumstances. Stanfort researched almost a 100 million traffic stop and concluded a similar thing that white people on average got more problems with the law, yet black people are stopped and searched far more often. They even traced that this difference gets smaller during the night, and conclude that the cops got a harder problem to see what race is sitting behind the wheel.

It doesn't seem that you've ever looked into it. That picture perfect society is just not there.
That this white woman evades getting a conviction in an easy case just adds to how white people enjoy their privileges.
This will go down in the stats... no worries.

So unless white people marry blacks, they're racist?

That's a perfect example of where the liberal insanity is headed.

Not going to even try to figure that one out.

Whites and blacks commit different "drug related crime".

Whites may use drugs, but blacks sell it on the street, often shooting each other in the process. You purposely ignore the fact that blacks commit a staggeringly higher percentage of violent crime, and receive harsher sentences because they are habitual offenders. Which is also why they are pulled over more often. The local police recognize them as career criminals trolling the streets at night.

You would indeed expect a number around 40% if people were not as racist as that one poster suggests.

The American Psychological Association says racism is rather widespread. So you know...
If you refuse to figure it out, than it's just you rather keen to remain in denial.
It's fine when you do, just be fair about it.

A bigger % of white people use drugs, about an equal % deal drugs (and there are a lot less dealers vs sellers) ... vs ... +300% more black people get arrested leading to something like +600% difference in who gets to be tossed in jail. The university of Stanfort also concluded out of almost 100 million traffic stops that white people are more criminal, yet black people get stopped and searched FAR MORE often, leading to more arrests.

And when you say "you purposely ignore the fact that blacks commit a staggeringly higher percentage of violent crime", than you made an error.
I ignore who gets arrested for crimes. There really is no link between who commits and who gets arrested.
The predominantly white police force has something like a staggering 40% who beat up their families...a violent crime... in about all cases not leading to any arrest.

You also got the US sentencing commission. They see it in the statistics in who get's a sentence for what. And when all things are considered, including yes previous criminal activities,.. it simply ends up with that black people get longer sentences simply because the judge does it like that. And this lady with an open and shut case will go down in those statistics as not getting a sentence adding to the racial injustice that goes on n the US justice department.

one is not a racist just because they don't marry a different race, where did you get that?

yes, some white and black judges are racist, I have seen both - both upset me, both should upset you

this black judge attacked this family and let the man off with probation... that racist to you? can't we just agree all racism is bad?

    https://www.courier-journal.com/sto...e-slams-victims-tots-black-men-fear/25581605/

where did I say it was picture perfect, I said white racists and black racists exist, just most of each race are not racist - we should all be against all racists, regardless of the race of the racist or the race of the victims

charges were dropped cause the victim told the DA he would not participate in the case, he thought she had been punished enough

I never said that nor is it reasonable to come to that conclusion based on what I said.

Completely unreasonable standard to hold. In no way can marriages be used to reasonably measure racism. That’s absurd.

the arrest rate differences between whites and blacks for drug related offenses also has nothing to do with racism and everything to do with blacks being far more likely to commit violent crime. Many times more likely. Need I explain to you why there is a crossover?

the American pathological association will say what is popular, not scientific. If they didn’t m, they would be attacked. In order to protect themselves they say what they have to. Racism is a nonissue for everyone, yet what little exists overwhelmingly is attacking white people, not coming from them.

the fact this lady will get out in those statistics is perfect proof that those stats are easily manipulated in order to push narratives that aren’t actually true. And people will fall for it.

It’s divisive because it exists within a society with two separate cultures existing side-by-side.

And for the record, I don’t personally find BET to be divisive. It doesn’t offend me in any way, and I’ve even been known to watch its programming.

I agree with you, but when I say national identity, I mean, like, a white person will often talk about ancestry, and that they are Italian-, or Irish-, or German-American, while it’s rarer to hear an African-American trace their ancestry back to the Igbo tribe in eastern Kenya, for one example.

From my own experience, of course.

We're not talking about the one, we're talking about the many.... leading to only 17 tp 20% getting intermarried.
I don't see you respond to that figure, that leads up to that conclusion.

Black people on average get a longer sentence under the same circumstances than white people... with about 19%.
This is again not about some 1 judge, this is about the many... from a DAs asking for a lesser sentence to a judges agreeing.
It's systemic to get that 19%.

That is incorrect. Read the OP. The racist took some therapy. That was good enough for the DA to let her avoid due process.

The thing is, Obama never identified with his white side because there are no benefits in doing so. Obama was the first “BLACK” PRESIDENT. He is no more black then he is white. He’s no dummy. You think anything he accomplished was noteworthy being a 1/2 white guy? Nope. But being black? THAT gets you extra kudos.

As long as this country continues to offer goodies and advantages to those identifying as a minority, there will be division.

Maybe he didnt identify as white because he knew whites would never accept him and hed be right because whites invented the one drop rule. He knew blacks would accept him because blacks have empathy and compassion.

And they were both created by whites. Face it, whites created black identity, blacks dont identify as black, whites gave them that byword. It was foretold in scripture that they would be called many things by the gentile, afro american, black, negro etc etc everything apart from the truth

I'm sure that's true to a point. White people may have indeed had a hand in creating it. But they don't propagate it, just like black people aren't propagating white supremacy.

It was more than a hand it was two hands so why now does it disturb whites that black folk want to use the very identity whites gave them [in order to segregate] ?

Wasnt this the plan of whites after all?

The key word that you used was inherently, ... not divisive in and of itself. I don't agree with everything that you said but I followed your logic. Also, I'm glad that you watch BET. People of any race can watch it. There was a terrific special about The Clark Sisters on BET Sunday night. Programming that I can get excited about that I don't find anywhere else ...
