Yeah, so opinions evolve as more information emerges. How many times did Fauci change his opinion about different aspects of dealing with COVID? Sometimes daily. In fact, after a year and destroying many young lives, many scientists have flip flopped on the benefits of lock downs.
On occasion, opinions expressed by all commentators evolve as they learn more. That doesn't mean they are lying.

It's OK to pander to those who are married to the favorite narrative of the day. You guys punish / cancel each other for differences of opinion.
Pardon --- I don't and couldn't live in your world. Being retired, there is nothing any intolerant person can do to me.

You seem to live in that world by displaying your intolerance, attempting to punish/cancel and diminish an opinion you disagree with and owing your fidelity to a professional panderer.

Spare me your righteous indignation. Rush was part of a terribly destructive force in America. I did not wish cancer on him, nor death. But the cold, hard, truth is the country would have been a better place had he never found his way in to a radio studio and it will be a better place now that he's gone.
Do you imagine the "I'm just a reasonable guy in the middle" act you hide behind while continuously sniping at the left and defending the right has gone unnoticed?

I was not a fan and never listened to his show. If he said that the death of someone with opposing beliefs made the country a better place, that would show low character.

I don't snipe at the left or defend the right. I do oppose/defend positions or actions. I don't think I have seen you in discussions on abortion, marriage equality, or religious business using their beliefs to discriminate against others for their beliefs.

Limbaugh was garbage, pure hate filled ignorant garbage, through and through. The world is better off without him in it.

I never missed an opportunity to criticize Rush Limbaugh when he was alive. I first became aware of him back in the 1990’s when a colleague kept playing him on the radio every day. At times annoyingly loud. Of course it was all bull poop and hate filled ignorance. Since my annoying colleague insisted on playing that crap, I took to critiquing it out loud, point by point as the garbage dribbled out of Rush’s foul mouth. Of course my colleague would get mad and say stupid things things to me, but his insistence on playing that crap, only made him look like garbage in my eyes. I often have had to ask, what kind of person follows Rush Limbaugh? I have heard the things he said. They were not nice things. They were not honest things. They were not honorable things.

I shed no tears for anyone who knowingly and willingly spreads propaganda that contributes to things like we saw on Jan. 6th. The radio waves are a little fresher and clean today.

Nothing funny about willful ignorance, Mitch. Limbaugh was a such a consumate liar that a book was filled his CONSISTENT drivel: The Way Things Aren't! Rush Limbaugh's Reign of Error (1995 The New Press)

    rest in peace Rush...

I enjoyed his show on the radio... he began to lose me when he tried TV

he started back in the early 90's which was before cable news

news talk television shows all copied Limbaugh's format..

have a caller ask a question , then spin an answer for hours

he was a great talk show host, nobody could do what he could

    BUT

he began to talk like a lunatic with his femininatzi bits

and he really began to be rude and obnoxious

then he was convicted of drug possession with a few thousand oxycontin

after his conviction he was never the same

I realized I was listening to a guy wacked out on Oxycontin..

having been around a few drug addicts

I know how much a persons mental health goes down the tube when addicted to drugs

back when limbaugh started the democrats had NOBODY similar to Limbaugh

he had the stage to himself for many years..every thing he said people would take as truth

when he started there was no 24 hour cable news doing any fact checking

when he started getting competition from other shows is when he really got bad

    talking is easy..Limbaugh was a talker ..

if he believed the things he said, he would have taken action and maybe run for office

instead he just kept blowing smoke and countin money

cant blame a guy for that

    Verify this please:

RUSH: Mark my brilliant words on this. That's how this stuff starts. Now, the question is: is CO2 even a pollutant? Is it an air pollutant? Because if it is, then all the water vapor on this planet is a pollutant. The vast majority of CO2 that's in the atmosphere comes from water vapor.

    Nobody was better than Limbaugh

One of his last whoppers was about COVID-19

He said it was named Covid-19 because there had already been 18 other Covids

It's odd that you keep repeating the falsehood that my objection to him is about "someone with opposing beliefs" rather than him being a liar, even after I provided a link to just some of his outright lies. One of which was perpetuating Trump's "Big Lie." On second thought maybe not so odd.

To a degree that is not always understood on the left, Limbaugh invented a new genre in which conservatism could be entertaining, even fun. He was a master at using parodies as weapons. He was outrageous and daring; occasionally funny and charming, but also often dishonest and offensive.

While his friends describe him as gracious and generous, Limbaugh also cultivated an insensitivity that normalized cruelty, racism and misogyny.

Rush was a well paid, professional liar.

I listened to Rush for 30 years. He was not racist, he was not a cruel man, and he respected conservative women. I can see how people with thin skins would think him cruel because he was brutally honest. Why would a person hire a black screener for his show if he was racist? Why would a person marry three times if they hated women? Rush was an imperfect human being but he was important at a time when we needed a counterpoint for the liberal press.

Sorry, but his own words show he was a bigoted, misogynistic, liar who lied for profit.

    https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/list/?speaker=rush-limbaugh

Perhaps more than any other media figure except for Roger Aisles he is responsible for the vitriolic political atmosphere in which we live.

I made no such claim. I assume he was a liar and that is still a level of character above those who celebrate the suffering and death of others due to their beliefs. That level of character doesn't make the world a better place.
