It's more that I'm sort of confident that in the long run oppressive system can't last, at least when they're challenged by something more positive. Then the most important change I see is self change. I loved to read history, but especially when it's about very long time, and you realize how pointless are zealots such woke people or other kind of zealots. I had the luck to grow up on the seaside. The landscape you see, if you exclude a few beer cans, it's the same today than it was during WW2, the same that it was during the roman empire, during prehistory or even the dinosaurs. The horizon of the sea, it would be always a flat line, the sand or phebbles, also the same, but most important, the sound of the waves, crashing over and over. Sometimes, you hear all the phebles, growl and that sound is exactly the same today than one million years ago. There is few other landscapes that let you not only gaze at eternity but also hear the sound of eternity, the sound of waves crushing waves after waves.

On a political level, 4 years ago democrats were desesperate and republicans exhulating, now it's the opposite. And in a few years, and I think sooner that we will think, democrats would be again the one desesperate.

So in that context, all the rage that a few "woke", radical muslims or even Trump maniac seems pointless.
