AOC should be front and center in filing articles of Impeachment on Joe Biden for refusing to allow Texas to increase its power production in the face of a humanitarian crisis. China Joe then allowed for extreme energy price gouging making energy impossibly expensive for the poor.

Joe Biden got Texans killed with his horrible and terrifying negligence than may be considered criminal.

Well we already know who the charities are, so you can start your digging. Of course, you should already have known their names too, but maybe you are saving your energy for all that research.

What are you talking about? Biden has no authority over Texas' energy grid. They are completely on their own, by choice. They have no relationship to the rest of the country's power grid.

Maybe some of the 5 million she raised could be used to help pay the electric bills of those who opted for variable pricing instead of fixed.

Iowa is far more familiar with extreme cold weather than TX.

While not a fan of AOC, I'm not going to take this stand:

"AOC tried to help. What a bitch!"

    Sigh.

Yeah but having no power in freezing cold weather still sucks. The ice storm in Iowa in 2007 was not political so nobody cared.

She did it for politics. Nothing more. FAKE is what she is.

Pro tip. If it's a politician, the motives are political.

She did it, which is all that matters. No one got hurt and she helped a bunch of people using her public profile. You need to be pretty hate filled not to be able to just acknowledge that is a good thing.

Good for AOC! Even though I feel Texas deserves no help since they happily voted for this.

AOC uses the money she's given for staff to hire researchers who actually RESEARCH things and therefore frequently makes Republicans look like silly fools.

In their defense, they're not given lots of choices. Texas has one of the most conservative RNCs in the country and they're operating in a very gerrymandered state. They've been running Texas as a Republican kleptocracy for a long time. Fortunately, it looks like they may be turning blue.

Storms are not political. The destruction caused by the storm is not political either, but how the elected officials react to the storm is, and that's how they are measured.

People in Iowa are more prepared due to their climate, not because of politics,

I’m no fan of Rep Cortez, but credit for her moxie.

What better way to garner attention than by helping out Texas while making Cruz look inept...

Let me clarify: As there are hundreds of daily threads created on this site, please provide link to the the information you feel substantiates your assertion. If you can't, that means you are not stating a fact, but an opinion. Should be easy for you to do, since you are referencing it. Get cracking, Matt.

More to the point...Iowa doesn't have a conservative gov't hell bent on being independent of gov't oversight and standards. Texas had a previous event, their power company said they would prepare for another one....they obviously didn't. Deal with it.
