Nothing scares the bejeezus out of a nationalist like the word "international." The irony - which is central to the con - is that Trump was Santa Claus to these one-world corporations.

Only if you see the world in such binary terms, an affliction that is crippling the GOP.

Having lived outside the US for 18 years, I'm confident I'm right. The US, for example, has no serious socialist political party. Most countries do.

You said RECENT. 2016 is not recent, but okay.

Just like with Disney, it's all about the Benjamins, nothing more, nothing less.

Washington Redskins owner Daniel Snyder said in 2013 he would never change his franchise's nickname despite its harsh rhetoric aimed at Native Americans. Now a group of investors and shareholders collectively worth more than half a trillion dollars have asked some of the team's top investors to terminate their sponsorships unless the name is changed.

The top Redskins sponsors are Nike, FedEx and PepsiCo, according to a report by AdWeek. Each company received a letter signed by 87 different investors and shareholder—whose total net worth is $620 billion—urging them to pull their sponsorships unless the Redskins change their nickname.

"This is a broader movement now that's happening that Indigenous peoples are part of," said Carla Fredericks, who is director of First Peoples Worldwide and director of the University of Colorado Law School's American Indian Law Clinic. "Indigenous peoples were sort of left out of the civil rights movement in the late 1960s in many respects, because our conditions were so dire on reservations and our ability to engage publicly was very limited because of that. With social media now, obviously everything is very different." source: https://www.newsweek.com/washington-redskins-urged-lose-name-millions-sponsorships-1514894
Looky there, investors and shareholders were the ones who demanded the change.

I said most recent. Please pay attention.
I don't disagree that the investors were critical, but your claim was about Native American opinion, and your claim was unfounded.

Yet we still achieve social progress, which this thread illustrates.

Well, considering that the National Congress of American Indians has been opposed to this team's name since the 60s, they must have had support from their people, or are you accusing this representative organization of being rogue?

Nope. At no point have I ignored that. What I did do was point out that it only applied to 18 episodes - something the OP failed to do, thus leaving the impression that it applied to all episodes. This warning in no way altered the content of those epiosodes.

I also brought additional information to the thread - that there were actual cuts to some episodes and missing episodes and that with one exception those cuts were due to music rights. Those are NOT necessarily the same episodes with the warnings and Disney has specifically stated that they have cut musical numbers due to copyright. In fact, I have even provided a list of those cuts. I have provided links for all of this for those who care to dig deeper. The people who are throwing a massive tanty over 18 12 second warnings among 118 episodes don't care at all that episodes have been cut due to profit seeking.

In short, I am the only person on this thread fully informing people. Judging by your posts you don't seem much interested in being informed, so I'll stop wasting my time. You can go and play with the trolls and the fanatics.

It was undisputed when published and there is nothing more recent. At minimum it can be said there's no evidence to support any claim of broad Native American unhappiness with the name.
