Republicans should get on board with Biden's stimulus bill.

What Is a Stimulus Check?
A stimulus check is a check sent to a taxpayer by the U.S. government. Stimulus checks are intended to stimulate the economy by providing consumers with some spending money. When taxpayers spend this money, it boosts consumption and drives revenues at retailers and manufacturers and thus spurs the economy.


A stimulus check can be part of a larger federal stimulus package designed to support the economy, which was the case with the stimulus payments that were part of the CARES Act in 2020.

Why should or would the Biden Admin. make even small concessions to the Republicans?

 

Idk, what are they sneaking into the bill that will give Republicans a reason/excuse to oppose it?

 

It won't come down to that.

If we we had just protected our vulnerable population and let everyone else go about as normal we would have reached herd immunity sooner. Instead we extended everything and gave the virus time to mutate and now several variations of the virus are out there. For some variations of the virus, the vaccine doesn't help much. That might be the same with natural immunity. Soon we will have variations of those variations and over the long term, more people will have died.

 

Stop trying to put lipstick on this pig of an economy that Republicans and Trump supporters have created. Stop trying to deny that school vouchers are handouts to the private sector.

 

I would go further and I I would outlaw federal government payments to individuals except for salary payments to employees or tax refunds. It goes way, way beyond an appropriate role for federal government or any national government for that matter.

 

Federal government has no business being involved in public education in any way. It operates no public schools. Involvement with private education is even worse.

 

He’s already done more than Obama did to earn the peace prize. Bunkering down for the better part of a month should be enough.

The Pubs should get on board, get some small concessions and declare they were part of the solution.

 

The economy is coming back quite strongly WITHOUT him doing anything and everything he has proposed will only delay that as it did when he tried his schemes the first time.

There is no peace prize for economics.

 

Is that what it is all about, policians making their declarations the THEY were the solutions? And there needs to be a HUGE concession on the Democrats and Biden's part, a $1T one.

Biden pulled his canard again today with his "I would just ask those who say it is too big and spends too much, what would you have me cut" as if daring them or something. His problem is he is getting long list of what needs to be cut out of this bill and he want answer to that.

 

Lack if rebuttal or anything of intellectual merit noted. Stop trying to claim that paying for a service is a handout to the provider of that service. Learn the difference.

 

Public money to private, religious organizations violates, at the very least, two Constitutional principles. Learn something before you continue.
