#Metoo and #believeallwomen folks. The irony of the Democratic Party the last four years has been bashing the "orange man" while not looking inside of their own closet. Well, now Democrats can start looking in that closet and if they're any serious as they were about the orange man they can reform their party to bring former moderates like myself back in the mix.

I applaud you for staying consistent on it. That's the key for me. if we're going to say this "crosses the line" then it can't be a political standard, but a national standard.

She first made the accusations in December but Trump was still president then so Andy Cuomo was still the liberal hero and exempt, so no one cared.

 

Yes. It is still a thing. Reade was just not credible.

Believe women does not mean they are infallible, it just means when they report it or are talking to the police (or worse in the ER) they should not be asked if they did anything to contribute to it.
They should not be looked at as if it is a joke.
They should be taken seriously and then their claims be investigated fully and without prejudice.

I don’t think you understand what women and girls go through during a sexual assault accusation, the invasive tests that they are put through, the repetitive questioning, the smirks and comments. Not to mention they are typically given a bill after all of this because our healthcare system is such a joke

Imagine your child has just been raped and now she has to endure all of the above while grown men like you mock other women that have had to endure similar events. I hope you never have to know that pain.

Since an accusation has been made against Cuomo I hope that he is fully invested and held accountable if it comes to light he sexually assaulted anyone. We need to start locking these people up instead of brushing it under the rug at best — or do like many did with the last New Yorker and waved his flags for four years.

 

If this happened then he needs to resign or be removed. Needs a comprehensive investigation.
