    Why is it like that? I'm in England. My parents have both had their vaccine. They were given a time slot and were in and out within 30 minutes. It's ridiculous having to wait as long as you have implied in the photo - that will put many people off

    The organization has been surprisingly good. The main concern we have is the very low uptake by the Black and Asian communities. We have got to the point where some vaccine centres had to close early because of patients not turning up. We also now have walk in centres without appointment because the daily dose allocation is not being used up due to these no-shows. The anti-vaxers are a pain and are picketing hospitals and vaccine centres

    I don't think they are as bad as they look.
    My neighborhood has a small one on Saturdays.
    They do about 1500 in about 6 hours using only four stations for shots. They set up for about 1 minute a shot. The appointment are every half hour (I think) so the line can look long at times, but the whole thing including a wait for reaction took about 1/2 hour.

    Donald and Melania , both got their vaccinations before they left the White house. If they had made it public........ that would have gone along way to reassure the republican skeptics o r anti vaxxers. Firs the virus is a hoax......... then he gets it .....but still refuses to mask up........ and then he quietly gets vaccinated. What's wrong with that picture??

    (of course the Trumpers will just blindly support anything or any direction he goes.

    We will watch and see. Suspect it will. The numbers have plateaued at the moment.

    It seems like not the best time to d o this. But the Reps seem t be a rebellious, bunch who want their way NOW. Health is secondary to politics. & power.
    But then....they have minimized this pandemic from the onset. They believe their own set of "informational non facts."
