    I'm only guessing about the area being predominantly Shia and that's why the Iranians are helping them. I'm not guessing about the US stealing Syria's oil, nor about wanting to create a Kurdish state and the locals resenting it and forming militias. Those are facts.

    Whenever Trump tried, the powers that be went against him. That's why he would say he's bringing them home, and then change it in a few days later.

    I can't help but suspect, that the one's who control Biden want war, but not a direct conflict with China and Russia. There are so many young people out of work today, which of course bides the question: Did the 'elite' want the small business' to go under so young people would have no alternative, but to join the military and fight in our endless wars? Who knows?

    Yup, War Inc.

    The war machine is just too lucrative for the Dems.

    Joe is going to show us the proper and compassionate Democrat way to rain down bombs on a sovereign country.

    Do you understand that "Russia put bounties on American soldiers" isn't actually a fact? If you are going to base an argument based on something you are calling a fact, it should...you know, be a fact.

    Warmongers are degenerate enough to do something that evil.

    That would explain their draconian targeting of restaurants.

    "SYRIA—Facing the coming wrath of President Biden, Middle Easterners turned to the only possible means of escape: painting their doorposts with the colors of the transgender flag.

    "Please, O Angel of Death, pass us by!" cried one man as Predator drones flew by, raining the wrath of Biden from above. "I support your social justice causes, see? You can pass right on by! No problems with you here! We love you, President Biden! So proud to be bombed by a female vice president of color for the first time! Historic!"

    . . . Trump launched airstrikes in Syria years ago, so either doing so doesn't "start a new war" or said war started under Trump. Which is it?

    Trump said US should take the oil, even in Iraq, but I don't he actually grabbed it.

    I appreciate your admission that the application of basic logic would incriminate Trump. Thanks for that. Let us know if you are capable of actually discussing the topic beyond admitting that your own post is nonsensical.

    I dont know where you get your information, but its typically not the Dems who ramp up military spending (its Republicans). I know blame-shifting is hip among Trump apologists, but lets stay honest for a while.

    Logic? You're looking for logic where there's only hypocrisy and double standards?

    Maybe we'll find the logic in this when Jen circles back to it.

    Why did the Dems block the withdraw of US troops?

    When Turkey's PM Devotoglu gave the order to shoot down a Russian jet, (something Clinton wanted), Russia declared all of Syria a no fly zone. Six Israeli jets flew into Syria and were chased away and Netanyahu panicked. He said we almost lost our jets, so together with his generals he paid Putin a visit.

    The Israelis showed the Russians the areas they felt were a direct threat to them, so Putin gave them a certain amount of leeway. (One third of the people in Israel are Russians). As for the US and Nato, an agreement was made to notify Russia when entering Syrian air space.

    Later on, when an Israel jet hid behind a Russian plane and was shot down by the Syrians, Putin to retaliate, gave Assad the S-300's missile defense system which he had held back as a favor to Israel. Since then the Israeli's only use drones.

    The US has no business in Syria. Israel though is a different story, they are threatened by Iran and are fighting for their survival. If Iran left Syria, then the situation would be different. Assad said if the US was to give them back the oil wells, Syria would be able to pay back the Iranians for helping them defeat ISIS and he would be able to ask them to leave.

    I agree with Kammy.

    I'm going to need to see the President's comprehensive strategy laid out right NOW.

    Already answered. Why do you ask the same question again? You think I'll give a different answer every time? Heck, the answer was in you own link.

    Quote from the 1st time round:
    One does not need a theory, when one can just read the link you provided. The Congress asked administration certify that a withdrawal will not harm U.S, and the WH refused, or was unwilling to do that.

    PS, You say "Democrats", but your article states "lawmakers on both sides of the aisle". Why did you re-word it?

    Why did Congress ask for such certification?

    Answer: They "have grown increasingly concerned about the decision-making behind Trump’s withdrawal efforts — described by former administration officials as erratic, impulsive outbursts driven by domestic politics". In other words they realized Trump didn't have a clue about what he was doing, he was just doing things because he thought it would be a popular thing to do.

    Democrats

    Wilson = WW 1

    FDR = WW 2

    Truman = Korea

    Johnson = greatly increased warmongering and US troops in Vietnam

    So, do we have a legal rationale, consultations with Congress, and a comprehensive strategy laid out now?

    Or are we just going to take it on faith that the obviously-senile President knows what he's doing?

    I'd prefer that, too. The difference here being that this is what I wanted from Bush, Obama, Trump, and Biden. I wasn't willing to accept excuses for any of them, whereas you were willing to excuse Trump's bombings. I'd much prefer to go back to the days when we didn't put boots or bombs on another country's soil without a declaration of war or evidence of a specific, imminent threat. Former Trumpists only pretend to care about that now that their boy isn't in the Oval Office.

    I stand by what I said, because it is factually correct.

    Back in the day the Congress declared war, and Presidents executed it.

    I am not a Democrat BTW, but to argue that Dems are the ones calling for more military spending is dishonest. They are typically accused of "gutting/decimating the military", and yes, your own messiah (Trump) said exactly that to justify massive hikes in spending.
