Why was it great what Democrats did in 2017 yet wrong for Republicans in 2021?

I don't know why they aren't embarrassed by that. Every conservative and every Republican I know, and I, are embarrassed about the unlawful assembly and rioting on the Capitol in January.

Nor do I. Too bad you don't see any problem with what the OP laid out for you on a nice tablecloth. I don't say a "white" tablecloth. Thay would be da racism.

And "peppered with". Funny. You'd better change that to "a homogeneous mob of white fascists" or you'll lose your angry, woke, SJW card.

In one of his debates with Stephen Douglas Abraham Lincoln said that blacks should not be allowed to vote, and they should not serve on juries.

Partisanship. Certainly there was no need to tell you that.

And Abe declared whites should never marry blacks.

Who recalls what happened on Jan 6, 2017?

Democrats sprang a trap by alleging to the public that the Russians and Trump were involved in a conspiracy to elect Trump and stop Hillary.

I put the blame for that all on one man. Barack Obama who was the president and such a sensitive matter had to be cleared by him.
It was sprang against one man (clearing Hillary of course) to damage his presidency. An insurrection by the Feds is how I see it. Trump called this the deep state. Democrats denied a deep state. Democrats to this date deny a deep state. But it sure was a deep state to force Trump to be impeached. I am not speculating he would be impeached. He as you all know was impeached. By Democrats to overthrow the election of 2016.

Indeed. Which is why I am calling out the false equivalency that right wingers are drum beating as to somehow lessen or excuse the crime of insurrection on Jan. 6th and Dump's indirect complicity.

What's would be funny if it weren't so pathetic is this lame reiteration of the David Duke tactic....defend racism and bigotry by accusing others of the same for daring to point out a glaring reality.

Newsflash for ya, Chef.... that dog of yours won't fly.

I and others pointed out the false equivalency of the OP, by reviewing and examining the DETAILS of all involved. You're MAGA myopia only works for Fox News, Clear Channel, CBN and such. And since a simple arrow click leads the reader to the full context of what you respond to, your editing is for naught. I laid to rest your bilge on another post today. You may carry on.

Did they storm capitol buildings in any of the sites of protests? Yes or No? If yes, where?

Did they do this? They had million person marches and rallies screaming they wanted to blow up the White house and calling Trump every vile name imaginable.

I will invite this forum as I did the other forum to prove that this was an insurrection. Use any charges made by Federal prosecutors as proof and that will suit me. I am not able to find any of their charges related to an insurrection per se.

    translation: No, they didn't.
And as usual, when a right winger is asked a straight question, they dodge it like the plague and blow smoke. Bobby just can't cop to the FACT that he's trying to promote a false equivalency between Jan. 6th and the demonstrations/protests regarding Dump's inauguration ceremony.

    From Merriam-Webster:

    Definition of insurrection

: an act or instance of revolting against civil authority or an established government

Choose the Right Synonym for insurrection
REBELLION, REVOLUTION, UPRISING, REVOLT, INSURRECTION, MUTINY mean an outbreak against authority. REBELLION implies an open formidable resistance that is often unsuccessful. open rebellion against the officers REVOLUTION applies to a successful rebellion resulting in a major change (as in government). a political revolution that toppled the monarchy UPRISING implies a brief, limited, and often immediately ineffective rebellion. quickly put down the uprising REVOLT and INSURRECTION imply an armed uprising that quickly fails or succeeds. a revolt by the Young Turks that surprised party leaders an insurrection of oppressed laborers MUTINY applies to group insubordination or insurrection especially against naval authority. a mutiny led by the ship's cook

A bunch of screaming yahoos storming a federal building that was closed to the public that day so the business of gov't to confirm the election of our next President..said mob video taping themselves saying they are there to stop the process...beating police and security, using make shift battering rams, some carrying zip ties, some armed, trying to break into a room containing senators despite being warned not to do so by security.

Now you have arrests, arrests being made, investigation into complicity by local police/security and some Senators. Yep, pretty much fits the bill of insurrection, unless YOU have revised definition of such.
