You can't just take McConnell's word for it?

This is more pure white supremacy.

You think that if someone calls for a level playing field, it means white guys like you and me must be hated.

A level playing field has nothing to do with hatred. It has to do with equality - equal treatment under the law.

What assult on minorities? They certainly have not been helpful to the lower class but that's not a race issue so much as a class issue. Times are changing though.

They stand for Trumpism. Apparently, every speaker is trying to be a mini Trump. The same lame memes, attacks on Dems, RW talking points, vilifying mask wearing and Fauci.... I guess they are all very smart at one thing: Figuring out what the Trump base wants to hear and feeding them exactly that diet.

We can point out crazy people from both parties and disagree on who is actually crazy.

The left has been trying to place the Republican party as bad or crazy since before Trump. The narrative never changes.

White nationalists are like 1% of America and they are in both parties.

As much as you all scream white nationalists I have yet to actually meet 1 in my 36 years of living. I'm starting to think you all just make them up and then find 1 or 2 crazy people online to support the narrative.

That is the job of the FBI and Police. The Republican and Democratic parties are not legally obligated to do anything.

They get payed to sit in DC and vote on stuff if you did not know.

You don't even try to hide that you don't know after making the claim. CNN does the same thing. We call it fake news.

They can't get this one passed over added pork.

Those people existed before Trump came along. More orange man bad narrative.

How about starting a thread that is not a "let's hate on Republicans" thread?

Trump needs to step aside and let new leadership have a chance.

White supremacy does not exist. You made it up just like every other Democrat. I don't know a single person who hates black people or any other people.

So you only want to talk about how bad you feel the Republican party is? Noted.

The Democrats don't know what reality is anymore. In thier fantasy world there is more than 2 genders, illegal immigrants are not criminals and presidents can be impeached with zero evidence.

The title should have read the Republican party sucks. That's pretty much how you feel.

How many Trump supporters are white supremacists? Do tell since you made the claim.

The Democrats support democracy after 4 years of trying to remove Trump? Such hypocrisy.

Can you prove they are targeting only minorities? So these laws they want to make the election more safe won't affect a single white person?

Are you seriously claiming these laws only affect darker skinned people? What laws are they pushing for?

I never liked McConnel and I need more than the word of some people. Obviously you don't know and thus can't back up your claim.

There you go again with the white supremacy. A few years ago no one used that phrase, then the left was given their marching orders and they see white supremacy in their sleep.

Equal treatment under the law, eh? Is blm getting equal treatment under the law, or preferred treatment? How about illegals? Why is it a hate crime to tell a black joke but perfectly OK to tell a white one? NOTHING about the left is about equality. You guys have murdered the meaning of so many words, words like racist, tolerant, diverse, and now equality.

If you guys really wanted equal treatment under the law, then when you call for releasing non violent criminals from prison you wouldn't be hypocritical about cheering for Trump's associates for going to prison for lying or tax issues. Like I said, the left has ZERO consistency. None.

You made the claim. How did Republicans assault minority voters? Before you start, you should watch this video if you have never seen it.

Now... go ahead. How did Republicans, "assault minority voters"?

Uh, no. Ensuring elections are fair and only authorized voters are allowed to vote is NOT seizing power. And, NO, there is no attempt to make it harder for minorities to vote. That’s wackadoodle LW BS.

First Fauci said we didn't need masks, then he did. First WHO said the virus isn't transmittable human to human and travel bans are racist, then the left imposes their own travel bans because the virus is transmitted human to human. Maybe if the left wasn't owned by China Fauci wouldn't be criticized so much, especially when he was caught at a baseball game without a mask, remember that? The left defended the piss out of him all while attacking, sometimes violently, anyone without a mask.

The left was being fed two totally different and conflicting stories and they obediently fell for both of them without hesitation.

The Republican party used to stand for fiscal conservitism, law and order, congress as per its design in relation to other branches and its purpose of seeking negotiated compromise.

The party has changed a lot.
WOW! Trump, the insurgents on January 6, the FBI list of white supremacist crimes, CPAC - this is not "1 or 2 crazy people".
False. You call anything that doesn't conform to your pre-existing assumptions "fake news".
If Trump leads them, then he DOES get credit.
This thread was an opportunity for Republicans to say something they stand for.

If that was a failure, you can't really blame me for that.
    Amen.

    Seriously.

America needs a healthy Republican party, ready to believe in democracy, form compromises with Democrats and independents, and maybe promote some of the things they have promoted in the past - law and order, national security, etc.
Striving to win an election through the promotion of ideas and directly IS democracy.

Anti-democracy is an assault on the validity of our elections (when it is know to be totally false), refusing to support a transition of power beneficial to the interests of America, directly assaulting those carrying out constitutional duties in support of democracy such as Jan 6, passing legislative action at the state level that is designed to prevent those who are hated from having an equal opportunity to vote, etc.

The bill in Arizona gives top state officials the power to select electors that support a candidate OTHER than the candidate that got the most votes.

Bills in other states are very clearly designed to make it hard for specific demographics to vote.

These bills don't even bother to identify whether there is a problem to solve. They were NOT made to solve problems other than that certain demographics managed to vote last time.

The fact that some bald faced liar suggests that such bills make elections fair is ridiculous.

This is just pplain PURE sophistry.

In every single emergency we EVER face, there is learning that comes with time.

We learn how and whether to use vents. We learn what happens at meat processing plants. We learn that the strains of COVID infecting America came through Europe, NOT directly from Asia. We learn what kind of masks are more effective.

This idea that what was said in January makes a liar out of anyone who bothered to LEARN is really just the most insane view of information that could POSSIBLY be promoted.

The REASON for these laws is to jigger upcoming elections. THAT is how they are designed.

There is NO connection being made between these laws and any problem that exists.

Basically, your whine boils down to a claim that maybe those trying to defeat democracy won't be PERFECT at it.

I don't care whether they are perfect at it.

I don't want these officials to EXIST. They CLEARLY do not hold fundamental American values.

How can America, FOUNDED on democracy, believing that democracy is absolutely required, stand for having officials who do not even believe in democracy???

Your standard proves your agenda. You are looking for laws that will disproportionately impact blacks, but ones will disenfranchise one white person because that one single disenfranchised white voter is supposed to show its not a goal shared by white nationalists. I think they will be more than willing to sacrifice that one white vote for the greater cause. Heck I think you can find plenty of whites more than willing take one or two or maybe even 10 'for the team'

Would you be willing to if it ensured more white supremacy? Are you a team player for white nationalism.

That says just bout everything one needs to know about the Rep party now. Not sure it should be called the "GOP" or even "Republican" party anymore. It's entire identity has changed and its values have been pulverized. They seem to have a few remaining "values"....... the LUST for POWER , and the lust for money. and obstruct the Dems in any way they can. It seems even they don't know hat they stand for now. There is no cohesion in what they say or do . Serving the country does not even factor in anymore. Oh....they occasionally pay verbiage to that........particularly at election time. And as long as they keep bowing to Trump........ they will only get worse. And given Thump's propensity for authoritarianism.......... the outcome is anyone's guess.

I said they ARE assaulting minority voters.

A number of Republican states today are creating bills to make it harder for those they hate to vote. They claim it is to make voting "more secure", but there is no connectiong between those bills and any known problem.

Analysis shows that there were no problems relating to lack of sufficient security in our last election. In fact, Republicans outperformed expectations!!!

Republican response to not doing as well as they hoped is NOT to find ways of appealing to the electorate - it's to use law to DEFEAT the electorate.

Nothing from what one can tell.....They are not doing anything that would be out of favor with Trump. They don't fancy being the target of his revenge........ or having their careers endangered. hey have allowed themselves to be controlled by a psychopath. (who could care less about them)

Y’all were not parading around with a partisan flag in the past or propping up actual golden statues of a failed politician so it looks like it was a very accurate future prediction.

With the trump cult in congress it is only going to get more interesting.

Learning curves, eh? Why didn't WHO listen to Taiwan instead of China who had so many infected people that they were cremating them while they were still alive? Is it because the learning curve involved Xi's wife who works for WHO? And if there is a learning curve, then why was the left so quick to call Trump a racist when he wanted to take precautions against a virus we knew little about? You talk about learning curves, yet the left lambasted anyone who didn't follow China's orders. You guys say 'trust the science' which is exactly what the murderer known as Cuomo did and look what happened. One of the problems with the left is that they take orders well, even when they're dead wrong, and then they refuse to admit they're wrong. You can see it with this virus, you can see it in their city's killing zones, and you can see it in their racism.

Well then I'm right on topic. You disagreed with a post on the GOP agenda that I largely agreed with. So to answer the question of of the subject line, CPAC-What does the Republican Party stand for?

    You've been given an answer.
